I have an open mind about silver shortage and market manipulation etc. The cynic in me says that the market is skewed, but I think that aboit the entire financial system - not just the silver market! Anyway, in the interests of balance, this video offers a different perspective:

Interesting counter argument, although his voice is almost as bad to listen to as Robert Peston’s 🎧

In what year will this specific coin be worth 10k ??? Everyone make your predictions now and once it’s worth that price I will sell mine and the winner of the guess gets a free ounce of silver and a Nando’s chicken sampler

Depends what reference point you are using to determine value.  If it’s eBay then I’ll guess 2022 😁

  3. Does anyone know when the Royal Mint are planning on putting the new Harry Potter coin series on sale?

They were due to do a design reveal in early Sept but it fell on the same day QEII passed away so it was cancelled and I’ve not heard anything about it since.

This is false, you might hate Thatcher, but she did not increase the nation's debt that kept going down in her years.

It was first under Major in '92 that the debt started rising again, briefly, towards the end started coming down again and it wasn't until Brown in 2009 that truly spiked, mostly thanks to the creative financing of Blair that created PFI and increased the spending in a way that put the windfall on successive governments.

    Agree with that

They've changed the law that puts the risk on the customer (i.e. they could be shaken down for Employer's NI) and put it back onto the contractor.

So doesn’t that put it back to where we were a couple of years ago?

Now, if they would go the whole hog, punt IR35 completely and bring the dividend tax down to pre-2016 levels I'd be ever so happy, as would much of the rest of the I.T. industry, not to mention its customers.

However, as Rishi Sunak's missus is heir to a big outsourcing firm I doubt that's going to happen.

I thought I saw they were reversing the recent IR35 changes.  It’s not scrapping it altogether but putting it back to where it was a few years ago.

don’t think anything changed with regards to dividend tax
