Gold now £1820! Where is the best place to sell, anyone sell to British bullion in Bristol before? Looking to take some profit off the stack. Hatton garden and chards I'm thinking may be secondary online options, anyone else sold at these higher prices? And where did you get success. I walked into a antiques shop that had sell l/buy gold on the sign outside but the shop owner had never seen a Britannia, lady almost fell to floor when I said what it was worth!

    Bullion Shield Sovs now?

    £455-£460???

About that yes, I got some cheaper at £425 each last Wednesday (posted up in TDIR earlier) which I suspect will be the last time I see that price for quite a while unless we get a smack-down,  I then paid £445 for some Friday (should be in TDIR tomorrow if I remember).
My budget for this month is gone now so we will see where we are at next payday :)

You need to compare the Oxford Mint to a Royal Mint 1g, a Umicore 1g, or a Valcambi 1g. Then that would be a fair comparison

All PAMP bullion is at the top end. The Oxford Mint is in the mid-range

You need to understand what you are buying. I hope that helps

And that's BV sovereigns, we also have

Anyone who was looking to buy do it PVP while there are still 'bargains' to be had (eh @bobski - I saw you buying that £400 2017 :)).  One of the listing I check regularly as they are usually the cheapest on young heads is HGM

Thanks buddy. Yes I’ll look at main dealers if necessary. But always used the forum to sell. Ultimately I’m not desperate to sell and happy for it to sit in safe deposit box if necessary. As you say, I think a lot of people holding off with the 1 oz coins at the moment. Just seems a waste to melt this down.

Atkinsons will give you £2035, you will likely get better from @Auronum though

Who knows the future, but I can’t see it in my lifetime. Especially not at the expense of gold. At the expense of usd may be. But I can’t see third nations swapping one paper token for another unless forced to. But from here is gold doesn’t crash down $50-100 pretty swiftly then that’s crazy. Comex is open today

I would expect any emerging candidate to be digital rather than paper, but I agree

It hasn’t it’s still the same. .. the USD and other currencies are worth less. Not quite worthless… but getting there.

The danger would be the emergence of another reserve currency, obviously one not linked to gold.

Should this happen central banks may reduce their gold holdings in favour of this new reserve currency and that has the potential to make Browns bottom look like a picnic in a sunny park if done aggresively.

[Very] unlikely though, we do not even have a candidate......yet

You may or may not receive a better offer than the one already offered, but @Orpster is a top buyer/seller on this forum and his items will be top notch. Plus theyre in Original Manufacturers Packaging as he mentioned, and that's always a bonus

Thank you, too late though unfortunately another member has bought these two via pm.

I'm afraid once something like an Una is released to the wild they do not hang about 🤷‍♂️
