The mint works in mysterious ways at times and trying to second guess how they work things out still baffles a lot of us. The only way to know for sure is to call and see what they say but normally the open orders show straight away. 

I’m not so sure, time will be against you, nothing lasts forever.

Ah.... I think paulmerton might be right, if nothing is showing then this one might've slipped your net unfortunately. Keep your fingers crossed though that it's just a blip and call the royal mint tomorrow just to make sure, You never know.

I was told this happens when something is no longer in stock by the time you try to pay for it.
I guess it happens more than it should do when everyone is trying to buy the same coin at the same time, and there should surely be a more graceful way of handling it than simply sending you back to the basket page without giving even a hint of a reason.
Unfortunately, if it isn't appearing in your open orders, I don't think you'll be getting anything.
I was also told that these amounts that appear to be charged to the payment card will disappear within a day or two, and they did for me the last time this happened, without having to contact the card company.

Sign in to your royal mint account and look at your open orders. It might show up in there.

I actually see that price for 799 all the time but he stated that it is not returnable, if there is a defect...  so I never buy him, I believe they actually have more in stock, once they sell out for 799 they will show 4 coins for 839😢
Although I would like to get one but I would rather use the exchange or buy it with RM even if it seems very difficult

@LawrenceChardI remember that I read an article in the forum that tested the sov of the same year but different specifications, showing that even the same year but different sizes, the content of silver and copper is different. If you remember correctly, this is issued by you. , But now I was hurriedly looking for it during working hours but couldn't find it. But isn't the rm coinage alloy of the same year produced at the same time into blanks, and then stamped with different size molds? How come there are different alloy compositions, so QEII you have tested so far are all non-silver components, even for special annual fees such as 1989 and 2017?

Haha, I started my coin collection in the past two years. I don’t have a lot of gb coins. I have a set of 2017 britannia positive and negative refined silver coins(😢However, due to the severe wear and tear of many FORST parts, I really rarely show them for viewing.
). I started directly with 1989😂. At present, I put 5sov somewhere else and sealed it and only have 2sov in my hand, but the phone is not great. I got 1/2sov from another place last month, but I haven’t got it yet. I’m planning to use it later. Exchange matte and the rest is Japanese gold coins and nothing else  
I also hope that more people will share what they understand has enabled me to go deeper
