Two cheeky sovereigns I ordered from @easyonthebrain at 2:30 in the morning . . .

Although he thoughtfully supplied very nice air tite caps I've transferred them to the 22mm caps that fit my tube. 

V for Vendetta Mask - A LiquidMetals Triumph   This is a startlingly attractive and well-made piece by @LiquidMetalsUK, and James is to be congratulated.   I have had zero interest in cast or "tapped" silver and the like since joining TSF. This, however, is a true chef d'oeuvre of which the TSF silversmith should be inordinately proud. Bravo, maestro  - 2oz of pure .999 class.   Although a prototype, James has said he is unlikely to cast further examples. A mistake in my view, as I could see these being enormously popular with forum members.  This is a joy.

Personally, one would prefer to store his Silver Bullion in the Vault, dontcha know 🧐

Been on the forum a month now so figured I'd drop a photo in of progress to date and something I can look back on in a year or so ... ive had a few motivations for getting into stacking.  I've always invested and grown a small portfolio over the years, moving from short term, to being lazy and just riding with the ups and downs.  I moved to cash in time for the last financial crisis but even that hasnt seemed particularly sensible this time around, my situation is also different in that ive got a couple of kids growing up and I keep them more in mind with any saving I do.  Lastly there's a fair bit of pleasure to be had from owning some of the things you can buy - gold with the head, silver with the heart (and some of the head).  Ive tried to buy things that i think will stay reasonably desirable and be easy enough to shift.
Shout out to this forum for being a gem of information and opening up interests that i'd never have otherwise discovered, the membership has no doubt paid for itself already and kudos to the folks ive bought from, lots of high integrity people here.
I'll be pacing myself more going forward, the cost averaging went out the window so far, but pretty happy with the prices ive paid.  (drinking a bottle of sauv tonight, so maybe one last purchase, i do need that kg bar... and a gold QB/TB)

Memorial Coin = ‘For the obverse impression Our effigy with the inscription “· CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 5 POUNDS ·” and the date of the year, and for the reverse a depiction of two portraits of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II accompanied by her Royal Cypher and the inscription “ELIZABETH REGINA 1926 - 2022”. The coin shall have a plain edge and in incuse letters the inscription “· ELIZABETH II · DEVOTED TO YOUR SERVICE”, save for the cupro-nickel coin which shall have a grained edge.’
 
2. Sov =  The design of the said five pound, two pound, sovereign, half-sovereign and quarter-sovereign gold coins shall be as follows:  ‘For the obverse impression Our effigy with the inscription “· CHARLES III · DEI · GRA · REX · FID · DEF ”, and for the reverse a depiction of Our Royal Arms and the date of the year. The coin shall have either a plain or grained edge.’
3. 50p = The design of the said fifty pence gold, standard silver, silver piedfort, platinum and cupro-nickel coins shall be as follows:  ‘For the obverse impression Our effigy with the inscription “· CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 50 PENCE”, and for the reverse the four Quarterings of Our Royal Arms each contained in a shield and arranged in saltire with, in the intervening spaces, a Rose, a Thistle, both slipped and leaved, a sprig of Shamrock and a Leek; in the centre the Crown and in the base the date of the year. The coin shall have a plain edge.’
4. 15kg Memorial = ‘For the obverse impression Our effigy with the inscription “· CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 15000 POUNDS·” and the date of the year, and for the reverse a portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II accompanied by the inscription “· ELIZABETH REGINA 1926 – 2022 ·”. The coin shall have a plain edge.’
There are a few variations of the above in different notices, all seem to be backdates to the 14th Sept.

It's the first time they've ever made a kilo Britannia in bullion, so I guess their supply of kilo blanks must have come through!

Agreed. My favourites are William Wyon’s design, followed by the 1910 and 1935 designs. 

I just got my 2022 annual BU set that I ordered after QEII passed away.  It was supposed to come in December, but I got it already.  Beautifully displayed set in a folder.  Something to definitely hold on to.

Not everyone wants to flip coins for a profit either within days or months of ownership. We now have a king, lots of people want a coin from the start of his reign to keep as a souvenir. I haven’t bought anything (yet), but if I did, then the coins would be saved for the two granddaughters. Wait for the circulated 50p? Probably be a while before seeing one once in circulation as they will know doubt be taken out as souvenirs. No doubt attitudes will change when the sovereigns start appearing and everyone is scooping them up.
