Today I received my DPRK 1500 WON Chollima Statue silver coin! Thanx to a great new friend overseas! Sorry for the bad pictures, I need some lessons and a small studio.
 

Modest 1 oz Gold Brit purchase thanks to @BleyerBullion, decided the kids are both going to have a Brit set each in a walnut box; after that they can decide what they want to collect in the future. Just 2 gaps to fill now.

It's my birthday today! And I finally got my copy of the Marsh Sovereign Book! Going to have plenty of time to read it too as I have broken my jaw in three places and the whole lot is wired shut. Freak Bike accident. This forum is helping me stay sane. Thanks guys.

Another two beautiful sovereigns  dropped through the letterbox this morning.
The 2017 Delhi sovereign, which is magnificent. I have promised to keep the source anonymous and will always do so. I do love the modern Delhi sovereigns because they are still using the original gold composition of "yellow" gold, not the rose gold the RM is usings these days. Much more attractive on the eye even when viewed through the tamperproof packaging.
The second is a 1931P picked up from a French company via MA Shops. Another off for grading sometime next week.

Yeah I thought the same thing when I read the copy. Most definitely disinformation however you can look at it from a different perspective. The 1989 and 2017 special reverses were significant sovereign design milestones. The 2002, 2012, 2016 and now the 2022 were/are significant QE2 milestones, the 1st being her golden jubilee. On this logic, I don’t see any of us living long enough to see a monarch reach their golden jubilee no matter how old you are and I don’t think there are any significant sovereign milestones anytime soon. We could see a baron spell in special reverse designs post 2022 and it could be the last any of us see (this of course excludes privys, strikes of the day, strikes of the month, strikes of the week etc 😅). I think the significance of QE2 sovereigns won’t be truly realised until many years into the future. Not many monarchs reign for 50th years let alone 70. Of course, this is of the assumption that our friends at the RM don’t decide some hocus pocus tomfoolery “1st year of King Charles reign special reverse sovereign” rubbish 🙄

Received only a few minutes ago from @drakesterlingwho kindly sourced one for me. Until two weeks ago, I had no idea there was a 2020 version, as no images existed on the net. I wonder how many exist outside of the Indian subcontinent.

A little update for today

Following on with my Pre- Decimal Crown collection (1820 through to 1960) and whilst I do some reading and get a better understanding of Crown issues prior to George III,  I have decided to move forward with Decimal issued Crowns (or £5’s). 
My aim is to collect all the modern Commemorative Royal issues- to date- and in as many formats as possible- Piedfort, Silver Proof, Proof FDC & Base Metal.
By my reckoning there have been 39 different Monarchy themed Crown issues since 1972- this should keep me busy for a while, so if you don’t here from me, that’s what I’m up to 😂 
These arrivals came over the last several days.  With thanks to @Richym99 for the eight Piedforts and the freebie display case was appreciated (I’ll need it!).  And thank you @PapaLazarou for the Crowns.  A couple more were eBay pick ups.

And these… perseverance has paid off on the 1979, ive graded many many 1979 proofs to get  to a 70 🤩
