  1. If you know any local farmers go and ask them about fertiliser prices the past year then stand back 😬 Along with other costs going up, these prices haven't made their way into supermarkets yet. It's fertiliser that's bought for this year's crops that are growing still and only be harvested later this year.
  2. Free storage in the meantime 😁
  3. My order arrived yes. They said they've had a small delivery so were fulfilling orders in order so some might be a week or two later 👍🏽
  4. I've got literally a couple. They cost a few quid and picked them up just for a bit of fun to go in a collection of hyper inflation era banknotes. As a collectible novelty item costing similar to what people might spend on grabbing a coffee cool. As an investment or way of stacking precious metals, no i don't think they fulllfil that purpose and clearly there are far more economical ways of stacking metals.
  5. Welcome to the forum. Ideally you want to pay as close to the (fluctuating) spot price as you can. The issue you'll realise is that VAT is added on to buying these coins when you buy so you might see £22 on the website then go to checkout it has jumped up 20% due to this. Equally buying from abroad and having delivered to UK customs will hold your package until you pay the VAT that is due (along with an additional customs fee so likely to cost more all up) Buying on the forum and second hand market there is no VAT added and through the forum no fees for sellers like online auction sites, so it is probably going to be your best bet. With that said sometimes get offers that can be attractive. This dealer has been shared in the 'silver deals' forum section. https://tavexbullion.co.uk/silver/1-oz-british-britannia-silver-coin-tavex-uk-london/ Otherwise keep an eye on the sales section of the forum and just observe for a few weeks until you get a feel for prices and decide what the going rate is. 👍🏽
  6. Welcome to the forum. Sounds great. I sometimes watch a chap on YT I imagine you have heard of, Jason at Mount Baker Mining and Metals. Found his simple videos about the processes quite interesting, from what you've said it might be worth taking a look
  7. Otherwise if you're looking for something cast or poured there are a few people doing that kind of thing on the forum @LiquidMetalsUK might be able to help?
  8. Hey Not sure on the kind of scale you're after but check out Bulmint. They make their own products and also manufacture for other companies. https://bulmint.com/en/services
  9. For someone to have been selling, does that not mean someone else has to be buying? 🧐😁
  10. With the quarters they are very small.. I've had some other quarter sovs previously. I'd maybe pick up a few halves though I think full are the best option in bullion
  11. Different densities show up different colours on the xray. Lead has a similar density to gold though so make it into shotgun cartridges or something and you'd be golden 🤔 Jokes aside though... Confiscated gold but lady allowed to carry on... Yeah something not right there
  12. I've had a couple of 'handled' proof coins from buying best value type bullion coins. I'd say if you want to keep your premium leave it in the capsule. If the YouTube police see your bare skin touching a silver coin I think it's a lifetime ban 😉😂
  13. If the thread hasn't had any replies for a few days or weeks it lets people know the item is still for sale and will now be above any more recent posts that might have completed quickly
  14. When there is a new post in a sale topic it 'bumps' it to the top of the listings.
  15. I beleive Bullion Now. Au will ship to UK. Might be able to get items via them They're based in Melbourne
  16. So... Going for the last minute snipe eh? 😏
  17. I dress this way too. Sometimes people throw change at me when I'm just sat having my lunch in the park Also mine arrived today too 👍🏽
  18. Welcome to the forum. I prefer sovs to quarter oz generally. You might find some better prices on silver Brits here on the forum than the main online dealers too
  19. Atkinsons became orderable again too today Edit.. In stock rather than orderable
  20. Just checked mine is 'complete' also but I haven't looked at it for about a month so I don't know when it changed
  21. Thanks for the feedback on that I've not yet purchased from them in UK . To be honest I've had milky brits from various dealers even the current year.
