Have we started to see the end of the sub £400 sovereign?

Starting to look round for a few more of the little disc's. Price seems to be holding above £400 even on best price sov's. I think the premium lag has caught up to the spot price.

Spot is currently £405+

Me thinks gold will need to be sub £1700 to see a sub £400 sovereign again.

Got a couple of auctions coming up that I'm interested in a few of the lots but if I'm honest I'm dreading what they are going to go for.

I think the 1700s is the new normal now. I can’t see sovereigns going for below 400 anytime soon.

You could be right. There are a few coins I'm after that are a bit rarer. Goodness know how it's going to affect their price. Sad times for purchases.

I remember it flipping over the £200. I had a few Iron's in the fire at the time and funds had other directions to go rather than gold. Would love to have gotten more back then. Well to be fair, it would have been nice to have had more at the £300 mark. If sub £400 has gone I wonder if and when we'll get to the £500 a sovereign.

There's still gold to buy and gold to sell. Margin to be made, deals to be done. 

The gold is still gold and didn't change when sovs were £200 the medium of exchange in between is what has changed 

If you see multi trillion debts across every western countries being paid off or getting smaller any time soon sell your shiny. 

If not, HODL your gold and enjoy the scenery along the gold journey as we keep moving to higher ground and to better golden views

In similar vein it was the first time I paid over a fiver for a sandwich the other day?

Did the sandwich change?

Did I enjoy it ? Yes

was it worth a fiver ? Negotiable

did the price of ham or bread go up relevant to the quality of the sandwich? 

OR was it the unit of exchange in between that changed that made a simple sandwich 🥪 over a fiver ?
