Problem with words like restrike is that there are genuine gold coins that are restrikes.  eBay is full of scammer.  This person is playing with words to catch people out who don't know better.  Why not say fake sovereign in the listing main heading, because they know they would not get a bid.

I don’t believe that they think that they are getting a real bargain 5 sovereigns for a £113 😯 He mentioned replicas at the end.

Because they may be sold on as real rather than restrike replicas.

Ended it already 😂

He put it back up:

1 oz knight gold coin 2015 slab pccb | eBay

This guy is registered as a business seller. I am not an expert on the coins, are we 100% sure these are fake? If so perhaps politely send him this info which I've sent to a number of registered business sellers lately:

the maximum penalty for knowingly selling counterfeit precious metals as a business user in the UK is a maximum of an unlimited fine and 10 years in jail. Look it up

https://www.merton.gov.uk/business-and-consumers/trading-standards/counterfeit-goods#

https://www.wigan.gov.uk/Resident/Consumer-Advice/Trading-Standards/Illegal-Tobacco-Products.aspx

I'm so confused why these idiots don't get arrested. Also the fake ASEs are driving me nuts. Stock photos, 100 different sellers, not a picture of a real coin between them 😭

It’s far easier to prosecute people for hurty words on Twitter and BBC license fee non payment.  I think that’s what it comes down to - ease of prosecution.

Another dreadfully fake sovereign.

I have reported it but I doubt it will be removed. Surprisingly this ‘item’ has 13 watchers.

Look carefully at the lettering and at the ear. look carefully at the ear in the coin below, even if it was worn, it would not look like something has broken off in his ear
