I'm interested in the "2 Wand Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier Basic Set - SM1501S1" and at that $660 sale price, I may even pull the trigger on pay-day this month!

Cheers @5huggy - I'll let you know either way. :)

Noted and "list" amended buddy! Thanks 👍

I have the original sigma with all the wands plus the bullion wand, as I have with 10 Oz , plus kg bars any coins the bullion wand is needed.

I have found the sigma great with gold not as good with silver.  Silver it will get you nearly there you will still need dimensions of the coins bars.

It just got 10$ more expensive...

I hope it doesn't switch to the original price of 919 $ at some point.

Btw, would anyone be interested in the Kee Gold Tester? I occasionally buy scrap gold /used jewelry if it's for spot price or near that (i see it as a good deal) and I would find this one pretty useful. https://buysigmametalytics.com/products/kee-gold-tester-model-m-509gm  . And I heard it's pretty accurate for the usual carat gold found in Europe. Also, I found that it is sold on alibaba.com by a company in the US and if you order 20 you could get a excellent deal for 225$/piece. I'm thinking about starting a thread about this...🤔

This might be a small thread but it encouraged me to look for others on Sigma’s.

So thought I’d add to it, as someone asked me the other day. After reading a few posts, I quickly came to the conclusion the more i invest and the more uncertain I was, one of the best investments any collector could make is a Sigma Pro.

Had a think about it for awhile but reaching out to a poster who generously exchanged their experience and knowledge, the cost seemed negligible in the long run. The biggest benefit for me was as I mainly collect coins, the Pro measures right through the coin, so removing a lot of uncertainty. Now I have confidence buying and selling any coin.

The wait was long from the States due to demand but worth it.

Waiting for my sigma to turn up. To be honest I'm kind of anxious hoping i don't find a load of fakes 😂😂😂

Yeah I had those feelings and inherited 2 fake 1 oz silver coins, which now seem so obvious. Hope you didn’t find too many 🤭😂

What's the crack with this mission, is it going ahead, can I jump on board?

The prices seem too be hugely different to when the thread started, I fear the saving from a bulk by may have already passed.

I doubt it. He was supposed to be going in September I think and he hasn't been seen on here for over 3 months.😧

There is also the Pro Mini, price-wise sits between the 'classic' and the 'Pro'

It does through-tests, which I find invaluable, especially for gold where tungsten inserts can fool surface, weight and dimension tests.

1kg silver bars won't fit under the sensor (only goes up to 10mm thickness) so you have to rely on surface tests for conductivity tests of those. They'd fit under the taller sensor of the Pro.

Instead of the bad-ass bridge extension of the Pro you can use poor-man's bridge, ultrasonic tester - works a treat
