Just checked two different accounts and the royal mint has cancelled both orders for 3 black boxes on each.

Is this normal and will they take the money back out when they are ready to dispatch or have they cancelled the orders?

Cheers

Think I might be in this situation as well. Credit card had been showing a charge for three as pending but that completely disappeared. Account still says the order is open but no idea why they would charge the card and then cancel that unless the order was cancelled

Well it's better than a slap round the face with a wet kipper I reckon :) I wouldn't ever expect to see one below 20 tbh, I've been very surprised to get one close to that.

I certainly wouldn't want 666 :o

I'm tempted to leave mine to the family, when the year 14906 rolls around they'll be quids in!

It always amazes me when I get three from the mint that are never consecutive, but are just a few numbers apart. You'd expect some sort of well-trained production and packaging line really wouldn't you? But oh no, not the Mint, seems they just chuck them in any old how!

You need to find someone born on 14 Sep 2006 😄

I wonder if they dont give consecutive numbers out on purpose. Selling 3 Snowman with consecutive numbers would be quite profitable Id think. Mine are only 10's apart so not bad really.

I'll have to find all the missing ones in between 😮

I rang them order, order is still going ahead. They will take the payment when they are ready to dispatch.

She said could be 1 week or could be 2 weeks. I don't think they know

It's the Royal Mail not the Royal Mint who have an issue with Lancashire. They are waiting for a break in the weather

It's actually been OK here mate, lovely yesterday but a bit overcast today, still warm for November though. I can't remember such a dry year in the 25 years I've been here.

Ah, it seems the curse has finally been lifted after your treacherous desertion 😁

You can come back, we won't charge you 😁

It's funny, I only came over to my current job meaning to stay for 5 years, them move on for promotion. Didn't happen, ended up staying for 25 years. It has happened a few times apparently, must be a good place to work.

I always believed I'd go back home but it's unlikely to happen now, all my family are settled round here.

in some Facebook groups i see people searching for COAs with numbers relevant to them, like 01978 or 05944 (5th sept 1944)

I received a replacement snowman 50p for the damage one i sent back last week. It was again the normal 15k white presentation box so they must have some around for exchanges even though they say they are sold out. Its COA is 13618 so if i were to sell maybe 13th June 2018 is a special date for someone?

2 buyers fighting it out for something they both want can push a price in any auction for any item of tat

And why would 2 buyers want this coin so much? Maybe the COA 😉

So, you actually know that the price paid was for the COA? Or could it be for the overhyped coin, as these were selling upwards of £200 on eBay already, it should never be assumed that a price is paid for a ticket, 2 buyers fighting it out for something they both want can push a price in any auction for any item of tat

It was yesterday and most of the others were going for half the price max so it seems the COA, it's the only distinguishing feature. Ironically I think this is closer to what they'll finally achieve than they are presently going for, still more than happy to hold :)

I think my three are in the last ten, I shouldn't think there's much extra value there but if they go to ebay worth a try I guess :D

Typical, seems like i'm the only one that got a defective coin! Sending back to the RM tomorrow, not sure what my chances are of a replacement and if still in the nice original packaging!

*Near the third snowman button :(
