Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

What is their feedback like?  These are the sort of disputes that can potentially go either way when they can prove delivery.

You want them to admit it was a fake/wrong item ASAP.

This is true, being the one with the bigger and better feedback deffo helps in situations like these.

I received 10x1oz Isle of Man Angels this morning from GoldSilver.BE and they are stunners!

They could be a great semi numi play as they are 100000 mintage which is quite low by modern standards considering the enormous amounts of coins pumped out nowadays by the various mints around the world.

The only criticism was the tracking as it was almost non-existent.

It was last tracked in Belgium on the 18th May at 2.50 a.m then it arrived at my house via Yodel this morning.

Lucky it arrived at all with Yodel. I would have thought that 100,000 mintage from a specialist private mint creating product from a tiny island would be about 80,000 more than it should be to be short of supply in a few years.

There is very little appreciation in pobjoy minted coins unless very special and at 100,000 they will need to really capture stackers imagination.

Refund demand already in process. They have 100% feedback on only a handful of items - ordinarily I wouldn't have bought, but the genuine photo drew me in. I have 100% feedback on 4500 items, so would hope to be OK! I've never had a problem getting money back in cases like these before, hopefully this will be the same.

I think these coins are amazing, i bought a sheet. I haven't seen many other bullion coins this good, they really are nice.

I also have a 1995 5oz high relief Angel (mintage 1000 i think), its probably one of my favourite coins and took me an age to find one, got it for 120quid too! so maybe i'm slightly bias :D

I am just going on the eBay resale prices which seem pretty good at the moment,I think the Pobjoy mint will sell out of these coins quite easily as APMEX are selling them in the U.S.

The 2014 version goes for £35 and upwards in the U.K.

Any clues for a decent priced 2015 plain field ?

No idea mate I have seen the 2015 very rarely most seem to be slabbed & insane money, I did a trade for those two.

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.

Yep, the MK4 with free trays is good enough for storage of your favourite coins if you don't plan to move them around much and for 18 euros and free postage, it is way cheaper than something similar I could buy locally.

If you are deadly serious about carrying your coins from A to B, this would not be for you. But for capsuled bullion bog standard stuff carrying or just straight storage, it is plenty good enough and makes like a budgie.............(cheeeeep). I mean 13 quid delivered - can't argue with that.:)

lol. Big cardboard box with loads of filler and 2 envelope sleeves with the Brits in em.....free shipping across the planet :) Gotta love that. I'm going to try and see if I can squeeze an extra tray in when it comes to see if it'll tighten the ship up, so to speak as it came with a nice soft layer of sponge type sheeting inside the top lid, so if an extra  tray snuggles in nice and tight to that, it'll be a bonus.
