The Fat man dollar continues to be a heavily counterfeited coin. Have you weighed it? Need to look at the coin edge too. I have a few, but have also bought an excellent fake from a very well known coin dealer on ebay. He accepted it was indeed a fake and gave me a full refund. How much did you pay for it?

I was the only bidder )) the seller looks to be genuine though... With loads of positive feedback

Quite a scary experience.  No update on payment after day 3 so sent them an email.  Got a reply saying they'd received the payment and were going to ship within the next 2 days.  They shipped as promised and it turned up today.  Although they've been trading since 2008 (German dealer), their site is missing a lot of images and their web site contact form has an auto acknowledgement reply from "root user".  Order turned up so all is well.

The €100 is a French commemorative 1/10th.

Received some 2015 Silver Pandas today. I was hoping for £15 or so but although spot is down and the euro rate is up, the premiums on them have shot right up.

I believe it's down to the silly Chinese speculators trading on the Chinese coin exchanges creating extra domestic demand and also dealers wanting to capitalise on it.

Picked up a gold 2013 britannia

Didn't realise its a totally a different size to other britannia's

Do you like it though? I have two them. They're ok.

They have a shallow relief so the detailing doesn't stand out as much as some would like.

Its ok.. It just caught me by surprise when it arrived

Reminds me of the silver version but very thin (a bit like a 4 ducat)

Great job on removing those marks. Fingerprints or dirt?

I'm not sure what the marks were. They're the same as those which were present on a 4 coin sovereign set I bought a while back. It looks milky and doesn't seem like finger prints so I'm not sure how they got on this one or the set have or what it is.

I think they might be blue tac marks, Many bullion companies use it to attach the coins onto the XRF gun. Great job cleaning it looks great! :)

My guess is that coin was pristine when it came into the bullion company, came straight out of the capsule and onto the XRF gun.

That would probably be it. Easy enough to remove thankfully.

A 2002 Proof half Sovereign without box of COA and some marks.

A little washing up liquid with warm water and then a new capsule so it can be put into an album.

I have a few proofs with marks on, maybe I will try this with a half sovereign I only paid bullion price for and see how it turns out

Do you just dip it in the soapy water then some clean water? or do you leave it in the soapy water for a bit

Thanks
