One of the rarer Britannias out there - a 2007 Platinum proof half ounce.
Apart from the 2008 sets I don’t think there are any other half oz platinum Britannia proofs produced (happy to be corrected on that!).
These were only available in the 4 coins sets which had a very limited mintage run of 250 (vs 1250 for the gold proof sets) - 2007 RM sales figures

Here is a stunning  1068-1071 AD Byzantine AV Histamenon Nomisma  Romanus IV Christ graded NGC AU which may have been in the loin cloth of the emperor during battle 
High grade AU strike and surface 4/5 for a hammered coin of its age 
Lustrous, well centred 1,000 years old of history stunning coin and minted in Constantinople

1068-1071 East Roman (Byzantine) AV Histomenon Nomisma coin
Issued under the rule of Romanus IV Diogenes, Emperor of the Byzantine Empire
During his reign he was determined to halt the decline of the Byzantine military and to stop Turkish incursions into the Byzantine Empire, but in 1071 he was captured and his army routed at the Battle of Manzikert
While still captive he was overthrown in a palace coup, and when released he was quickly defeated and detained by members of the Doukas family; in 1072, he was blinded and sent to a monastery, where he died of his wounds
Obverse features Emperors Constantine, Michael and Andronikos
Reverse depicts Emperor Romanus and Empress Eudocia on either side of Jesus Christ
Numista rarity of - 91 not because the coin is from the isle of Lesbos featuring prince Philip but because it is genuinely a rare ancient coin and deserves to fetch a reasonable price

Following on from the Sovereign gauge and some members feedback, the three coin Silver 1oz gauge is ready. 
The silver gauge has three slots the top for Britannia , Middle for Maple and Bottom for the Eagle. Comes also with a larger magnet.
Top will also test Krugerrand,Noah Ark and Somali Elephants.    Bottom also test Australian coins like the Roos and Funnel web spider. 
These are also interesting to quickly see how many different 1oz silver coins are the same sizes.

There are many things I'd love but can't justify the premiums. I wanted to buy the RM Gothic Crown Quartered Arms 2oz-2kilo, I think those are some of the most exquisite coins around. Look at the prices though even for a 2oz version:

Meanwhile folks have struggled to sell them on TSF for less than half that price even when graded

If you don't mind losing money then follow your heart and buy whatever makes it flutter. If you want to keep your shirt then be ruthless with premiums. Anything more than double spot let alone 10x + spot is a highly speculative investment. Some of them go to the moon, most of them sell for less than half RRP after a few years

i took a look at Atkinsons silver the other day, just to look. i saw they were stocking rounds from Mason Mint which i didn't know anything about before but i like the designs.
As mentioned you need to have something you can get hold of at reasonable prices. i might mention coins that are nice and i can get in the EU but just aren't a thing in the UK.

2023 Tolkien £2 Gold Coin
Pleased to say, after returning the first one, this one is in pretty good condition.

2002 Gold Proof "Three Lions" £1 Coin   Unpopularity be damned.    I am an admirer of these Round Pounds, regardless of whether or not they are currently de rigueur.   I see these coins as having excellent potential and - even if I'm wrong - buying RM proof gold coins at spot including RMSD represents outstanding value. 18g agw CGT-free to boot.   This is my second 2002 (the inaugural gold pound, issued only in the RM Golden Jubilee Collection), the first being a 69-graded mortuary-slabbed specimen which is now demoted from "collectable" to "stack".   @Colnago @MancunianStacker @dicker
