Foe reacted to Paul in 2020 Una and the Lion
If you took paypal for it for a £21,500 item, you would need your head examining
PayPal payment received, Parcel sent, dispute open, "item not as described", £21,500 debited from your paypal and no Una. left to jump through automated hoops for them to still side with the buyer. No thanks
I would be wanting a cleared BACS transfer or two palm fulls of Queens heads in my mitt to part with it.

Absolutely, this is a cracking profit to be had off one coin, it would be my best profit to date on anything ive bought or sold over the years wheeling and dealing all manner of items
How high can it go? I don't know? is it really worth £18k? i don't know. Has this guy over paid buying it? or got him a bargain that will be a lot higher in years to come if next to none come to market?
All is supply vs demand
A nice £12-£14k profit would certainly add a nice few extra 10-11oz gold for FREE to the stack average
To be totally fair, i still don't think eBay is best yardstick for value, it will be the first few that sell through the traditional Big Boy specialist coin auctions , where the benchmark level is set via the hammer price. The historical records of price and will not disappear to be forgotten like eBay completed sales results disappear after a few months.
The guide price/estimate will be helped by what known eBay sales have been for thus far. I dont think Mr Fat Cat City Millionaire Financier Coin Collector is sat on eBay in his boxers on Boxing Day looking to save £1k on the cheapest Gold Una
I would also feel a little daunted selling such a valuable item through eBay auction, given its open to exploitation by one sided buyer listing policies. It would have to be a cash deal in person

Foe reacted to richatthecroft in Royal Mail Signed For - warning!!!!
I find the whole Signed For/ Special Delivery choice tiresome.
Signed For- feels like you are essentially crossing your fingers and hope it gets there- which is unacceptable- and it’s unforgivable that they wouldn’t compensate for say a £20 silver coin as they would for say, a book worth a similar value- essentially they are saying, we cannot be trusted.
Special Delivery- is far too expensive/ uneconomical for sending any precious metal/ collectible or banknote worth £100 or less- but i have to concede, it’s a marvellous service and I have confidence in it, although I have to acknowledge that I’ve never had to test out the compensation element of the service, thank goodness.
I think the Royal Mail are missing a trick- they would surely attract custom by offering a product in between the two- a tracked and insured service that compensates whatever’s inside the parcel like the guaranteed next day Special Delivery- but one that gets to its destination in say, 4 days to a week- and priced accordingly, costing say a half, to two thirds of the current SD postage
For me, this would take a lot of the worry out of posting valuables- and then there would be a true choice of postage method and make crossing of fingers a thing of the past.

Also on eBay is a 2016 Peter Rabbit 50p for £8.8 million - I am really regretting not buying this one when it was issued!

Zum Glück habe ich mit der 5oz Version nichts am Hut. Viel viel zu teuer.
Habe mir 10 Stück von der 1oz gegönnt und bin mehr als Happy.

I got a call about 45 minutes after I placed my order, Hayden I think he said he was called, absolutely amazing salesman.
I felt like I was in "The Wolf of Wall Street" when DiCaprio sells about a million penny stocks over the phone, and the guy on the other end felt like he was getting bargain stocks in this mega company that turned out to be a shed.
