Just received a nice necklace, 14k gold, I bought it for scrap price but its in perfect condition, will post a picture tomorrow, I bought it for the 21.4 grams it was advertised as($600)....thing is there is a mistake, I just weighed it as I do with everything I buy, weight, magnet test and will even gold test with a Kee gold tester I should be receiving in the next couple of days, I usually let my lCS test for me...well the condition is great, it appears to be 14k gold and the right length but one things wrong....the weight...its not 21.4 grams as I paid for, As it advertised as ...... its 21.4 DWT...pennyweight.
 
Any of you understand weights will know that pennyweight is a lot heavier then grams(21.41 pennyweight = 33.3 grams)...so I bought $940 worth of gold that is not going into the pot but being sold as jewelry for $540 when allowing for Ebay bucks which I got 10% back....Boy sometimes I feel like I just sat on a rainbow....lol.

Thanks to @BackyardBullion for creating this Gairsoppa shipwreck recovered silver hand poured bar and round.
The bar is just over 1kg at 1075g
The hammered round is also Gairsoppa silver at 5.05oz and is designed as a tribute to the Bombay Mint stamp on the orignal 1000+ oz bars sunk then recovered.
The wooden box is an ebay cheap one with a 3D printed insert I designed, printed then flocked for a smooth velvet feel.
The QR code takes you to BYB's pouring video on YouTube and it also contains a micro SD card with hi-res images, videos and forum links to the bars creation process for provenance.

The gold record is $1800 but right now it's under 1500...so it's 20% off its high...Silver is under 18 and it's record is 48, so it's about 35%of its former high...so there's a lot more room for silver to go before even getting close to golds ratio to its record high, one reason I'm more silver right now then gold.

Gold is yo-yoing and so is the Pound against the dollar. 
This is why the two don’t always correlate. Gold in GBP has reached ATH but In dollars there’s still some way to go. This is because the pound is so weak at the moment.

Now remember er that you still have to live,if the currency drops your exports drop, your manufacturing jobs drop and your wages drop...your pms might be profitable but will it offset what you lose by a weakened currency?...unless most if not all your savings are in pms then most likely not...it reduces your loss but it probably won't make you better off then having a static currency and no pms.

This small but mighty £1 coin (19g) is the final piece in might efforts to recreate the silver set but in gold. Excuse the dodgy photo-montage at the end 😁 Others are at NGC.
