First gold purchase is a fact. 2,5 gram gold bar, and a Sovereign. I must admit, when you're used to the size of silver coins, these Sovereigns are almost disappointingly small... 😂 But I'm happy with my purchase anyway. 😊

Took me a while to catch one 
 

Today my silverforum mug arrived as well as a couple of silver purchases off ebay. 

Today's delivery: A 2020 bullion gold sovereign to get Alun's beautiful box underway, some 50% 1920-1947 pre-decimal silver half-crowns comfortably under spot and a couple of half dollars from our very own @AgD

Visited my safety deposit box today and put the recently acquired Gold with the rest of the Gold stack. Don't visit Safety Deposit box that often maybe once a year and took opportunity to take some photos. Gold bullion occupying 25% space in the box the remainder family jewellery. Still enough room in the box to add another 40 oz Gold in Royal Mint tubes to finish off Queens Beasts series.

First gold pieces of the year from HGM: a French 20 francs and an Austrian 8 florins/20 francs.

My 20 pcs case is completed at last, with the gilded versions from 2001-2020.
 

Sold my una and lion 2oz gold proof coin and used the profit to buy a 1761 Yeo Pattern Guinea in recent BSJ auction. I receive the coin today and really like it!

Just got this very nice chunky 1/2 kilo Baird bar from Ash this morning. I've taken a photo of a 10oz Englehard bar on its side to show how thick this Baird bar is. A belter .

Can’t resist guineas even if worn. 

Ordered this a while ago but finally have it in hand and love it. The original Canadian Voyageur dollar was the first coin design I ever fell in love with so couldn't resist eventally getting this.

I only recently discovered the existence of these silver £1 "Heraldic Beasts" collections.
This set was the runner-up in a design competition to the well known 2003-06 "Bridges" and was only produced by the Royal Mint as a "pattern" edition. Never legal tender, the "coins" are only permitted a non-milled edge which is hallmarked. A forerunner of the now famous QB collections?

Recieved this big 5oz 2020 year of the Mouse proof high reliëf. The second picture is for comparison with the 2oz proof coin.
