The new 24-carat one troy ounce of gold coin has been produced with 'micro-detail' so the waves in the background appear to roll as you look at them from different angles.
The illusion of moving waves is a security measure introduced to make it difficult for forgers to copy. There are others, including a disk by the bottom of the regal figure's dress that also acts like a hologram so you can see either a padlock or trident on it, again depending on what angle you look at it from.

This has to be the most awesome set I own, truly stunning, will need to practice my picture taking as @Jamesd does the 2oz version a lot more justice (further up the page) than my piss poor pics!

More bullion grade Sovereigns from 2013 which I might just flip a few, as a decent price for a quick sale. Thinking of doing a bullion sovereigns date run, as date runs seem to have captured my kids interest.
Plus a tube of 2017 Brits from @arshimo2012who promised me some later this week, when fast finger @Tn21had beat to some he put up earlier by about a minute.

Using a couple of his discount codes definitely made these the cheapest around or at least as far as I could see at the time.

i will be honest this is purley a speculative purchase, for a quick flip if there is demand with it been a low mintage so i can make a bit of brass 😀, first time trying this what you think?, so if it has no demand it can go in the stack/ safe.👍

Went to my favorite LCS today thinking to see if he had any older or more unusual LMU coins then the common ones I already have.  He did have some older french 20 franc (Napoleon I, AN12-13, Louis-Philippe,  Louis XVIII, Ceres etc)  but they were finer grades, and I was a bit over my depth in knowledge of pricing such.  So I passed on them until I do some research.  But while I was there he offered me a great price on some very attractive Liberty Eagles and Double Eagles, so I splurged a bit and bought two of each.

The best way view Gold price in USD separate your long term physical Gold stack and short term speculative investments have in the metal / industry.
Long term physical stack - only use one month chart it removes all the noise happening in the shorter time frames (intraday or daily/weekly charts).
Monthly Gold Price Chart (using trading view (https://in.tradingview.com/) free to register). Every leg higher in the Gold price followed by three months Gold  prices failed to sell below previous bullish candle's body which has lead to the next leg up in price. History repeating itself if by the end of October Gold price cannot penetrate below $1780 or continues to trades above $1850 next leg will take Gold significantly higher USD price.
