Some silver treasure from @arshimo2012 - Hoffman rounds, a Silver Shield and 2 Swiss of America 5oz vintage collector delights.

Picked up at the LCS today.  2009-W Proof $5 George Washington gold commemorative.  And in silver the 1988-D BU Olympic, 2006-P BU Benjamin Franklin Founding Father,  2007-P BU Jamestown, and 2008-P Proof Bald Eagle.

These two items really bring out the different colours of gold.

Some coins I picked up during my holidays, a few days ago
Maria Theresia - Madonna-Taler 1776  S.K -P.D Kremnitz
Another Maria Theresien Taler but the modern bullion version
And a one ounce Austrian Philharmonic from 1996, so still with the denomination in Schilling

First ever bit of junk silver and also my first ASE. 👍

After doubting Deutsch post & royal mail this arrived safe today.
2019 wedge tailed eagle high relief proof. Just need a 2014 now and I have all to date

Something I'm going to try and do more often when posting photos on here is to include something common for size comparison so I included a 2p.
Precious metal photos always seem bigger than they actually are in real life to me. It's not a complaint just something I've noticed. My brain can't work it out ha.

Today in a charity shop I found some 50% silver coins so I bought a few. Two florins (two shilling coin) and two shillings.
I bought the book from the same shop. It's an anthology of Rudyard Kipling's poems. Three of the coins are from within Kipling's lifetime (1921- the fourth coin is from 1944- Kipling lived from 1865-1936). I wonder if he had coins like them jingling in his pocket when wrote the poem "Cold Iron":
GOLD is for the mistress - silver for the maid" -
Copper for the craftsman cunning at his trade! " 
" Good! " said the Baron, sitting in his hall,
But Iron - Cold Iron - is master of them all."

This has been at Argos for days waiting for me to pick it up. Finally got off work early enough to grab it. 

Just to make it clear, Argos are not stocking Scottsdale bars lol. It was a eBay click and collect. 

Several buys of French junk silver lately and just halfway of my target of 400 oz by the end of the year.
 

An 1858 shield back half sovereign from my local bullion dealer in town. Her neck is scuffed but for the cheap price I'm not one to complain. Could have had a nice clean crisp QE2 but that wouldn't be as interesting.

1843/8 - Extremely rare, probably the rarest overdate in the shield sovereign series. In superb MS63 condition, an ex-Bentley coin so had to pick it up.
