I've recently decided to work on completing a U.S. Type Set.  It's something I've thought of doing for a couple years now.  S I bought an Intercept Shield U.S. Type Set album, and went to one of my favorite LCS' to see about filling some holes.  Besides some modern clad stuff I needed, the interesting bits were an 1826 Capped Bust half dollar that I had to have as soon as I saw it.  It has wonderful details for being a circulated sample.  I also got an 1867 2 cent piece, 1943 Walking Liberty and 1955 Franklin half dollars, and an 1922 Peace Dollar.
I know this is going to take me quite a while to complete.  The plan is to buy MS grade for as many of the coins as possible, up to the point where they cost an arm and a leg to buy, and try going for VF/EF/AU for those.

I've been on the lookout for a British trade dollar for a good while now... no idea if this was a reasonable purchase but picked up the lot anyway.
(This is the most expensive silver for me so far) 😬

Here is my latest auction win a 1938 dated, Yugoslavian 50 Dinara made from .750 silver, this coin and the 20 Dinara were the only silver coins made that year, they  featured the young Peter II who's dad was assassinated in France, Peter was too young to take the throne at 11, so his uncle was made regent, his uncle sided with the nazi's and Britain helped organise a 'coup d etat' placing Peter on the throne, the nazi's then invaded Yugoslavia, and Peter left for Britain via Greece and Egypt, he was commissioned into the RAF in 1941.
The Germans confiscated most of the precious/war material metals when they invaded and they had to be replaced by zinc, after the war what coinage remained was destroyed and a new communist government and associated currency was adopted.
The production of this coin was only manufactured during 1938, and despite 10 million being produced they are quite scarce now in uncirculated condition.
The writing around the edge translates to 'God protects Yugoslavia'
Quite a large coin, its the size of a British £2 coin.

The 2013 Gold Britannia is an interesting coin.
The 2012 was the last year they did Gold Britannia in 22ct and had dimensions of 32.69mm
In contrast the 2013 Gold Britannia was the first one in fine (999) gold but were larger 38.61mm but thinner 1.58mm
In 2014 the coin returned to 32.69mm like the 22ct but in 999 gold.
it therefore has the curious value of being the largest (width anyway) 1oz Britannia made.

    2018 & 2019 reverse & gold proofs 1/2 ounce libertads
Many thanks to @richatthecroftfor passing on these fabulous coins, whilst remaining in Yorkshire 😃.
I thought I’d share some pics I just took. They are quite fabulous examples and real eye catchers. When time allows I will send them off for grading.
As I am sure some will already know, but for those who do not, the half ounce gold/reverse proof for 2018 has a mintage 1000; that was the first year the reverse in gold was struck. Accompanying that pair are the 2019 equivalents, where mintages were even more modest 650 for the gold proof and 500 for the reverse in half ounce. Suffice to say I’m made up. Many thanks Rich 😎.
    regards, jaconet
