Don't know why but I'm really annoyed at the mint for charging £9 delivery on a 2k+ item. Anyone else?

Still showing as an open order for me- in fact my account and open orders pages are very buggy and wont load correctly. The menu on the left hand side flashes up and then disappears. Still, I'm confident of receiving one after having been through the same Three Graces angst.

And my credit card has been debited woohoo we are in Coinsters

We collectors can be so ridiculous.
We all want to have the perfect PF70 coin for ourselves and hound the RM for it, but at the same time we aren’t happy when there are too many PF70s as it renders ours less special / valuable. 😀

A fair point. I don’t think it’s unreasonable however, to expect a coin without scuffs and marks after paying an already inflated premium over spot. These certainly aren't bullion prices! The gold coins are especially egregious. To receive anything less than perfect after paying more for a coin than many people would a car is just insulting. Honestly, how difficult is it to glance at your coins before sending them out to the customer? Especially when your maximum mintage is only a few hundred as it is with the gold’s.

I have joined the stress club. I returned my coins today, goodness me parting with them was hard.
I had all the assurances that they would be freshly struck coins, and over a 68 grade etc. Not sure I believe them but hey...
Here’s hoping to some 70’s this time round.

Good luck to all fellow coinsters!
Whether returning, grading, auctioning, still waiting to receive or hodling.

May the 3 graces treat us with grace!

I remember the day when I had missed a call from the Royal Mint and wondered why they were calling me on my phone?  Then I saw the Una and the Lion on their website and realised, that's why they were calling.

I didn't manage to get one and a thought ran through my mind... it was a copy and it wasn't the original coin, so I didn't think too much about missing out.

But since then, my way of thinking changed... why wouldn't I want something so special, a part of history, significant history, albeit a copy, the originals are so scarce and so sought after in the coin world.
If you want the original, you'd have to pay 100's of thousands for it, if and when one came up for sale.

I think I'm really lucky to have the next release, the Three Grace's - it's a true piece of art and I understand why the great engraver coins are so special.

I think the Timothy Node design isn't too 'busy' on the table, unlike the other one (which is nice, but difficult to process).
It's a really lovely design and a really nice touch to add 'MY HEART AND MY DEVOTION', which harks back to her 1957 Christmas speech.
If the Queen steps down soon, then this coin, along with the proof 1 sovereign (the one with 95 mills on the edge) are the coins to hold on to.
A few months ago, I read that it could be as soon as this year that the Queen steps down and would like it to be relatively quick.
It might be difficult to see, when there's been the Queen's Beasts and the Great Engravers, as these are highly collectable, but sometimes, the ones that might get un-noticed now, may prove to be thought upon differently later, in years to come...
I read in this thread, a member saying something like, you buy what you love or like, and I like and dare I say, love this coin and what it stands for.
I've gone for the gold 1/4 oz proof, but silver may also be a good buy too!?

In about 3 months, this market will settle a bit and we’ll all be speculating on the next coin in the series and 66 pages will be a drop in the ocean.
The first 2 coins in this series have been spectacular; iconic designs which have been minted to a very high standard. These are just very different to other series and their popularity is huge outside of the UK with many going to Japan and the US for example
There is a certain level of FOMO, a certain level of flipping but the Una started off reasonably obtainable but as the awareness of this coin grew it proved the backbone of these sales is just how unique and high quality this series of coins actually are. The feeling when it arrives at your door and you open the case is something I haven’t experienced with many moderns. You can watch YouTube openings with experienced collectors opening these coins and being blown off their feet with them.
There is no easy answer with this coin, it’s popularity is based off how special they are but in turn this has created a whole new level of flipping and secondary markets including grading which is currently out of control.
The fact the Three Graces wasn’t a disappointment just means this could just continue to snowball until the next release

I bought my 2 oz for a grand, not to take profit out of it. Never paid that much for 2 OZ of silver and hardly there will come any other coin with that premium in my personal collection. As it looks right now to me, prices will easily comming down the next months. There are, even now, too many on the market. How many will flip there graded ones? But this coin is a beauty for every collection. Now and in hundred years. This is a timeless piece, for me even more attractive as the Una. I think most of coin collectors will agree. Even for Gamblers and Coinflippers it would be better to hold this coin, at least subtil the next one or two great engravers coins come out. If there are too many graces in the market, unsold, relisted, etc. the interest even for the next coins will come down. It would be a shame for this series, maybe the nicest coinseries of all time.
