Wonder if you send it direct to auction on purchase, would save a bit in postage

Place an order for a low value coin, you will then be able to save the card details and have it ready for next time.

I find it incredible the mint will offer a set of 21 coins of this calibre/cost and not look after the collector! As stated before, even to get in at the 1oz gold. You would need to “invest” around 50 grand.
I believe as said before, there is only one way to save the mints profits and satisfy collector demand is to mint to order. Everyone happy and secondary prices will settle eventually.

I would think so, usually confirm 24hrs before by email. Keep an eye on this thread.

I always thought 'bump' meant this item is too expensive

@Jeffers46 I hear you about the capsules, on the high end coins there should be a premium capsule possibly made made from a polarised polymer or even something like sapphire glass, I know some might wince at glass but it's c**p when you get poorly fitting capsules or mostly chipped and burred ones on high end coins.
Upon ordering a sovereign or above I'd pay extra for the option to have a better quality capsule.

Didn’t see any snarky comments in the post you copied, just someone’s synopsis of the current situation.
Woops, just reread the last paragraph, retract the above!

I certainly don’t blame collectors who want the coin for themselves for not sharing their secrets. These folks would buy just the one coin and I don’t begrudge them their luck or skill to use backdoors.
But I guess the awareness that flippers must also be doing this to purchase multiple coins simply to immediately sell them off at a premium on the secondary market makes this hobby feel like a (losing) battle.

I feel “free” after thinking about this release objectively rather than emotionally.
Yes it is another well-marketed series by the Royal Mint, and it’ll make you feel like you missed out; but unless you’re looking to quickly flip it, there’s really no inherent beauty to these coins, certainly not at these prices.
I am glad I managed to get the 1 Oz silver. I was extremely lucky to somehow get a low queue number (84) whereas for the Platinum Jubilee release, when I really wanted to buy some designs, I had a number > 8,000 and got nothing in the end.
Guys! You haven’t missed out. There’ll be another cool release again. The next Great Engravers after the Gothic Crown will be there. Cheer up! 🙂

Don't like the design. Don't have the cash to buy anything. Don't fit in with what I collect.
So why did I join the queue and why did I feel disappointed that they were sold out by the time I got in.

I think if you go for this you have to be prepared to take a sizeable loss in case it flops. Might be worth getting early releases in the hype if looking to flip. Good luck to folks whatever they decide to do.
