This isn’t so much a ‘today I received’ post but more a ‘today (yesterday) I saw’ post.
I spotted it in Aldi and thought of everyone here.

Today these 2023 lol (last of Lizzie) Britannia's arrived. I had to double check the tube of 1/10oz Brits as I thought they were 5p pieces. The 1oz are typical poor bullion standard from the Royal Mint with small scratches to her face on both of them. 

Makes sense if you have ocd

My tube of quarters arrived today - i say tube but unfortunately the end was off so i received 20 shiny little loose coins and an empty tube. I suppose the cost of a bit of tape to secure the lid was beyond the RM. Ironic really seeing as the tube was thrown placed in an envelope which was then placed in a box surrounded by packing paper.
I haven't yet decided if it's pure incompetence or deliberate disdain. I'm edging to the latter.

Nice pickup today, 2021 half sovereign proof with the 95 special mark.

Do you think they are just trying to rationalise the range? Having 15, 20 and 25 in tubes, is simpler than 16, 19 & 25. 

Its possibly the Quality Street trick? Reduce the size of the tin and keep the price the same, rather than leaving it the same and increasing the price

Premium mark up I expect they just want to exploit the good times

An 1865 Sydney Mint sovereign in PCGS MS61 from the 2005 Reserve Bank of Australia hoard.

And a nice little proof 1/4oz gold 'roo (from @lst65) to finish off today's batch of photos.

Arrived yesterday - a 1973 Isle of Man Sovereign from HGM.
Pobjoy mint turns out some right tripe these days but I do wish they would resurrect this design.

@Panda6Pack supplied the weirdest 10oz coin I own.  Same diameter as a 1oz, just 10 times thicker.  Don't see this fitting in a vending machine.

Not very interesting but thought it was about time to put silver on hold and try the proper stuff lol

Check ebay for coin prices then add a few quid on maybe for the brooches. That's my best guess at the value of these.
