  1. First 1oz Gold and 2oz Silver coin sizes in my stack. I have to say, after seeing 9999 gold with my own eyes rather than on YouTube or dealer photographs, I can see more of my future purchases going towards it in the 1oz form rather than sovereigns moving forward.
  2. Thanks for pointing this out, been keeping an eye out for them, just picked one up!
  3. @LemmyMcGregor I came to with the same conclusion as you when I crunched the numbers as a fellow UK stacker. The numbers for Silver and the bull case theories just weren't enough to pull me over to having it as a large part of my portfolio and I plan to stack gold but get the odd collector silver coin that I have the gold version of such as the 2Oz Queens/Tudor beasts to match my 1Oz gold counter part and maybe one silver Britannia a year just to have the date in my collection for silver but other than that its 1Oz, Sovereign or Half Sovereign gold for me.
  4. They have a sizing guide by country on their website here. It says the 32mm ring will fit but the H32 will have a little rattle so I went with the 32mm ring. They are a pain to get in the UK but I ordered it on eBay here and imported it from the US with a couple of other bits from them.
  5. Only recently got into PM but i'm really enjoying stacking sovereigns and then letting the history geek in me come out and research as much as possible about my new additions and pretty sure I will stay long on gold and may even increase my portfolio allocation in the future depending on how things go.
  6. Anyone seen anything from a UK dealer about getting these in?
  7. I have the exact same goal, 1 sovereign each month for 30 years to help with my retirement pots. Depending on how finances go and if gold spot drops down I might be able to add more than one each month. Only really focusing on sovereigns personally too, low premiums, fractional, and has a bunch of different mini collections you can work on getting over the years so ticks all boxes for me.

    1/10th coin run.

They have their Archangel Michael slaying the Dragon coin in 1/10th too but its classed as British legal tender so kind of fills the same spot as the Britannia.

    Fireproof box

I know you said box but if the A4 fireproof document bags will work I can recommend the Ruboka bags (item number B07KWM8T3C on UK Amazon). They are only around £10 and because of what I keep in mine I picked up one to set on fire to test before I picked up a couple of other ones for real use and the paper I put in the first bag for the test was fine after being left in fire for around 20 minutes.
  10. The video doesnt play for me but the photographs look great!
  11. First sovereign in my sovereign stack arrived today and I have a gillick on its way. Going to try and fill the tube with low premium sovereigns in the coming financial year.
  12. Cheers guys, looks like yous hit the nail on the head when I looked into the mintages of the other years. I'm guessing that The Royal Mint will only release the mintage numbers of the bullion grade 2022 sovereign once the year is completed and they don't do a fixed number no matter what?
  13. Out of the three orders I have made with The Royal Mint, two have had damaged products in them right out of the shipping packaging. Definitely not an issue during shipping either as the actual shipping packaging was in perfect condition so they were damaged prior to shipping with one of them being obviously damaged to a level that I doubt they have much in the way of quality control.
  14. One of their customer service reps emailed it to me earlier today as I was trying to workout spread margins for sovereigns so they are open with it and will provide it if you ask them and their buy back rates.
  15. Cheers, yea I will probably pick one up as I want one for each year that I stack them but other than the one year of issue I will probably just go for low premium sovereigns for the rest of my stack.
