Today I received...my first Anglo-Gallic coin! It's a Henry VI Grand Blanc (40% silver content) minted in Paris in 1422-36. This was during the time when Henry VI was also King of France as well as England.
I know it's missing ~20% of it total surface area but most of that missing is the legend so it still retains majority of obverse / reverse emblems & symbols.
The missing fragment also knocked the price down to bargain basement levels which I gladly accepted!

I would agree with this. I know what OP means about cost being prohibitive but just focusing on high grade shillings going back to Restoration should be within your reach & there are some lovely designs.
Following William III 1697 shilling (3rd bust) is probably my favourite early milled silver that I currently own (cost me £133 if you were wondering).
