Thank you to @Timberwolffor the link to Chards for the SOTD Sovereign. My first order with Chards and I found the website very well presented and easy to navigate. I was more than happy to pay the ‘bit extra’ on top of the RM price in the knowledge that my order is confirmed. And if I get a low queue number on the day (most unlikely!) that’ll be a bonus. Thank you too @LawrenceChardfor the interesting posts on the forum.

Be your own market maker mate. Whilst dealers serve a purpose. Feebay, forums, bookface groups, arrange your own grading, consign to auction.  With decent rep you can process your own sales/flips

With the amount known to be sold by Chards, Ukgoldcoins and others already, I very much doubt RM will have more than a few hundred to sell on the actual release day. They'll be gone within 5 minutes I think, and all but impossible to get unless you win the lottery with the queue.
Last few queues I've been 5000+ each time and not been able to order. The only coins I've been able to secure are via my account manager.

Yes, you are probably right. I just find the above-RRP price hikes a bit outrageous considering it's not even out yet.

Many reasons I believe, though does not bode well for it's future performance. Compare to how quickly (almost instantly) 2oz golds for the Gothic Crown, Platinum Jubilee, Three Graces, Una etc sold, it's in a completely different tier.

I think a 21 coin series just out of the range for most of us in 2 OZ gold. Even for deep pockets it is a huge investment. With that amount of money you can invest in a lot of things that make more sense.

Skipped this release - did not like the look of the coin. Also feel it will perform poorly, simply as the coins do not seem anywhere near as popular. 2oz gold was available hours after release. Compared that to minutes for the Gothic Crown 2oz gold. Platinum Jubilee 2oz gold was also gone quite quickly.
