Has there been any word on the 2 coin reverse frost set? It's been coming soon for quite some time

March when the next coin is released.

Just got the same for my returned set, bugger it, as long as this means they are taking the time to do it right then I really don't mind....of course there's guarantee that's the case

Just a heads up for queens beast fans, the royal mint website has some bullion 1oz yale of beauforts up for sale a couple of quid cheaper than brittanias. 
 Looking about these seem to have a bit of premium on the used market so maybe a nice buy, at that price seems silly to pass it up.

This happened a few weeks ago with the unicorn of Scotland. Guessing maybe it's someone who uses the mints on site storage liquidating their holdings?

Yeah, seems a good deal as all the qb's seem too carry a good premium and not many seem to be for sale.
 It's worth keeping an eye on the mints bullion section, I'm guessing maybe people selling their holdings?
 I got a unicorn 1oz a few weeks ago...pricey at about 1700 odd but it's a nice coin and seems worth buying at rrp when you see what dealers want for it

You know what, I feel surprisingly OK about it, there's plenty of people who would do indecent things for the 2 coin silver 2oz set I did get. 
 I am a bit miffed that I had such a low queue number, about 230 I think and that was all I could get....I doubt there was ever much actually for public sale...but whatever.
 I did have a chat with the lad on the phone though, he said yesterday was terrible, seemingly the staff were getting some awful abuse over the phone from people who missed out which is poor form.
I suppose its interesting to see a hobby considered by most to be super genteel turning people in to total savages....guess the hype around this coin was more intense than I realised!!!

Oh well....called the mint again today to check as I'd still not had an email after my call yesterday.
Well it turns out I'm not getting the gold after all, it was already sold out but the site hadn't updated quick enough. Still, it's money saved I suppose and I did get the silver double set so can't really complain.

Sorry to hear this. This happened for people with the Three Graces too. You would think they would have sorted things out a year later...

Also, now that I see the pictures of the reverse and obverse, I’m glad they didn’t do a gothic portrait of QE II.
Yes it looks cool and all on the Alderney version, but to me, numismatically and historically it has no significance, and I think it would take away from William Wyon’s Queen Victoria gothic portrait, which is really the main point of this release.
To me it would be akin to having a portrait of QE II in a veil because she’s a widow - I know this was suggested but it never made sense to me to try and mirror QV’s portraits on QE II.
IMO QV’s portraits tell their own story of her life and times (gothic portrait included).
That’s just my opinion anyway.

I think people got the wrong end of the stick, it was an online purchase from getting lucky in the queue. The call was a follow up because the order wasn't confirmed even though the money was taken.
 After what I've spent this year I think I deserve an account manager though!

I have a 2oz single and continuity...I panicked today when my orders didn't seem to be going through and made multiple orders. The lady I spoke to told me that they will probably both go through as they are different product codes but we'll see

Had a call from my RM account manager, i was in the position of being promised a guaranteed/allocated a 2oz gold last week, but could not be sure which, milled or plain edge as i didn't quite qualify for my spend level to 100% guarantee one of the 125 "plain edges" and he would know once they had finished contacting all their higher level Mint Marque members. 
Well, i am proud to report, i am an owner of a 2oz Gold "plain edge" Gothic Crown now
