Received this silver (.986) beauty today. Edge is mangled which is a shame because it should have some writing on there. Seems very odd considering that the faces look really decent condition!

I am staying in a small chambre d'hote in Albertville.
Although I should be skiing, I spent the morning working on stuff about new coins, new year...
The Vietnamese co-owner asked me would I like some lunch, I acquiesced, then this turned up.
Delicious and very healthy.
Later I gave her a bottle of entre deux mers from a case I bought while waiting for my car to charge (very slowly) at Lidl.
Then she provided dinner which was even better, something of a banquet.
There is a world aside from coins and bullion.

A lovely Silver Piedfort Queen’s Coronation 60th Anniversary Portrait Set 🤩. Only 697 of these sets were issued.  Reverse by James Butler is a beautiful take on the Royal Arms.

Hello dear silver friends, although I am not a great collector of historical coins I have nevertheless secured this beautiful specimen. I simply liked the design and it is nice to hold something historical in my hands.
