NEW St. George and the Dragon coin with Garter inscription

Recommended Posts

I have several in the 5 oz silver format and really like that - it’s big and I don’t have to squint to see.  I’d love gold but silver works fine.  I’m going for 5 and 2 oz silver in this coin.

Will it be a hit?  Hard to know, my favorite was the gothic set which is beautiful to hold and examine in detail, but for resale it was a cold fish.

I’m going 5oz silver I think. Bigger the better. If it’s not cancelled.

have they ever done a G&D in 5oz size before?

Aaaahhh😉

I spoke to my account manager this AM and no mention was made of canceling the 5oz.  Hope your rumor is only that.

I have subsequently been corrected and told that only the 5oz gold has been rumoured to be canceled.

So it would seem the 5oz silver is still on the cards.

5oz gold cancellation isn’t a huge loss for me 🤣

I believe mintage will be less than petition crown on the gold 2oz.

do people think this one will be a success or a flop?

i am inclined to believe that if mintages are low (250ish), this can do very well, even better than gothic crowns.

I think very well but if anyone is reading this it’s definitely going to be a flop (don’t buy)

Gold will be over subscribed and will be on ebay at a premium within minutes I reckon.

Silver will also do well.
