@Mcgrimes This is really interesting - a different topic - but I wondered whether the medical basis for this is set out in any journal article etc.? In my work I do see a lot of complaints that are not always specifically relevant and more about the psychology of the person and for me, and for colleagues, understanding that there may be a wider or deeper issue at play, would be of interest.

Cheers for this.

Now I know we have some domain experts on this forum @Kman , so why would a company change it's domain name from the obvious buckinghamcollection.co.uk or buckingham collection.com, to a shortened version tbccoins.co.uk. Do they not own the previous domains? Can they not just transfer them to a different server if they are having issues?

I wouldnt say im expert, but know my way round some domain process.  The normal practice for a new domain is to redirect the old one to it, so existing customers can find you.  Both domains point to the same IP, so they haven't moved.  The error shown implies a broken certificate, perhaps they lost the original keys for the cert or something that meant they couldn't change it. Either way, i'd say amateur hour rather than necessarily suspicious.  The new name doesnt appear in searches, or even on their facebook page.

Get over yourself - I think they have better things to do than listen to you p*** and moan constantly.

Didn’t you get a free half sovereign, despite getting a full refund? If so, why don’t you stand tall and send it back - then I’ll partially tolerate your nonsense.

Ive said this from the beginning, some customers have absolutely nothing better to do other than pursue trivial complaints. It’s usually a sign of early on set dementia.

Ask @Penfold if he feels the same.

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

I'd be interested in some journal references to back up this "trivial complaint" statement. With a PhD in Alzheimer's research, I've never read about this link?

Sorry for any confusion - my comment wasn't research backed, don't ever expect anything posted on a forum is ; I seemed to have fooled quite a few of you.

The point is, stop being so old and miserable and move on.

Considering you have a PhD in Alzheimers research, you should note I said Dementia. These are two different things.

I've always said, when you have to resort to insults, then you have lost the argument.

I'm assuming you are against censoring opinion. if so, then I am perfectly entitled to make a comment providing it is not libelous. This is what I have done.

If you don't like what I say, don't read my comments, it's a easy as that.

But in the spirit of bonhomie, I'll let the Buckingham Collection topic rest.......................until that is..........................I can say I told you so.

;)

Agreed, you've been insulting TBC consistently for a while.

As per your previous warning from the moderators, move on.

For the record I did NOT have any warning from moderators. I suggest you get your facts right before posting.

I did have an off forum conversation with Chris, that will of course remain confidential. Chris knows my thoughts on the subject.

I also have NEVER insulted TBC. Unless you are suggesting that posting facts is now classed as an insult.

@Mcgrimes just to be clear, I was not having a go at you and I was not being sarcastic. I had not heard of a possible link between complaints and early onset dementia etc. and was only asking if you had anything specific to share - because it would actually help me a lot if you did. Dealing with complaints is a difficult task as it requires you to be open to criticism and yet stand your ground in respect of policy and procedure etc. When someone is clearly not well and incapable of understanding or accepting the considered and full response to their complaint it can be quite confusing and difficult for those people managing the complaint. I hope this makes sense and that it is clear I was NOT attacking you - quite the opposite, I was asking you for further information because I found what you said interesting.

Thanks again.

The primary inference from your post was that the entirety of TBC is immature and of a snow flake generation.

Apologies - I must have been on the defensive and read your post as sarcasm.

As far as I'm aware, there are no links or journals of any scientific nature that provide such a link.

My remark was purely to imply old people sometimes have nothing better to do.

Cheers

I don’t see what the issue is here, I thought people on this forum were entitled to post their opinions on experiences they have had when purchasing PMs.

Even if some members have been critical, to my mind nothing that has been posted has been false or particularly malicious in nature.

TBC dropped the ball, then tried to rectify it while continuing to communicate with customers in a strange defensive manner.

If it offends, don’t read.

Really! Looks like I'm going to have to rewrite my thesis!

AD is the most prevalent of dementias! My research did cover FTD and lewy body dementias too!

Facts are very important - harassment is not. This topic has been thoroughly washed and put on a rinse cycle 3 times - but it still stinks!

Thus far no one on this forum has lost out , rather the majority of us have gained. My confidence that he will receive his purchase is high. (But by no means certain)

C’mon, my comments were flippant, there’s no need for you to try and prove your education, it’s meaningless in this thread and completely irrelevant to my original point.

Of which there are only 13 of 23 items that actually list the price...when I intriguingly counted last night.

I asked them about this and they didn’t respond. Disappointing. Not a company I think I could ever buy from. I’m not rich enough to buy without knowing the price!!
