Gold now £1820! Where is the best place to sell, anyone sell to British bullion in Bristol before? Looking to take some profit off the stack. Hatton garden and chards I'm thinking may be secondary online options, anyone else sold at these higher prices? And where did you get success. I walked into a antiques shop that had sell l/buy gold on the sign outside but the shop owner had never seen a Britannia, lady almost fell to floor when I said what it was worth!

I've tried this in the past, what about bullion dealers? Also I think quite a few want to take profit off table on here. Though I could be wrong?

Looks like tavex will pay up to £1795 for a Brit, that's much better than chards/Hatton garden. Cheers Dankanugget 👍. Can't see an option to sell on the website which is a shame, I'm guessing you called them?

Tavex are excellent. In all honesty from my own experience this year *so far* are the ONLY bullion dealer that have friendly staff to speak with when you have any enquiries. Sadly the other well known bullion dealers have gone down hill in my books.

Less than 1% of people own appreciable amounts of physical gold. Do you know who is in that select group? Yes, you, but other than you it's "the planners". I'm getting old and only once have I witnessed the planners pass a decree that hurt the top 1% - they made QEII cry when her Boaty McBoatface was taken away. For the government to confiscate our gold would require an Act of Parliament, they aren't going to vote to make themselves poorer. My guess is they nip down the vaults and nick Venezuela's gold instead

If you're trading gold for food I assume you're feeding Lizzo or the population of a small village. Gold will buy you a farm if/when it all goes belly up, silver is for buying food

Morning, who's found gold sovs in the rusted out panel of their Mk.1 Escort? 

£1815 is about what it was when I went to bed last night. So it's managed to hold that in Asia hours.Will be interesting to see what happens when London opens.
