Instead of just turning it's neck to the left, dippy dragon does a full 360 with a very bent neck. Beautiful coin though. Wear it in good health.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

Maybe it's a nod to The Exorcist.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

Inspired by @BackyardBullion video on the Asturmint coins, took the plunge and bought the 1st 2 coins in the Camelot series.

Absolute stunning detail and quality. These probably deserve a thread on their own when I get the hang of taking decent coin picture!

Expensive for silver but the quality makes them collectable.

They certainly are. Shame our national mint couldn't be quite as innovative!

Not cheap especially to import but a lovely coin to collect

I did tell you that it would be a brave purchase! Thanks for sharing. Proof is proof and if you've collected the series so far then it makes sense just to continue with it

Same. I don't have anymore gold TB's. Lot's of potential with the series but RM are clueless IMO.

Still have a few TB proof silver coins still packaged but haven't listed them because I don't think many would be interested in them to be honest.

An unfortunate 2002 proof sovereign 🤢

Just for fun, would you say this proof coin is in:

  1. Proof condition
  2. Good condition
  3. Neither of the above

Again, how do these get past the insection point. Clearly RM is employing for diversities sake, blind or  partially sighted people to do QC :(

It's 2002 bud I'd bet it came from secondary market.

Neither of the above. I wouldn't even call it bullion.

More like some combination of poorly motivated staff working in a toxic culture with perverse incentives.  Remember, this is an organisation whose management are happy to blatantly lie about their issues with milk spotting, even when it's painfully obvious they're doing so. This is nothing to do with the staff and everything to do with the the place being run by t0ssers.  This sort of thing always comes from the top.

George Ansell was ripping the Royal Munt's management a new one for their incompetence 150 years ago.  In an organisation that was 1,000 years old then, there's not much reason for it to have gotten any better.

This coin has high potential. If you melt it down and mint a new one it could be perfect

If you put a smidge of silver in the alloy it would be just the dog's b0llox.
