My only win from this weeks TCC auction.

A generous grade I think given the wear on the reverse but won for a decent price so I am not too worried 🤷‍♂️

First time buying from the Coin Cabinet auction. Thoroughly pleasant experience, just annoyed work got in the way and I missed the equivalent double

The double went pretty cheap as well from what I remember, £850 or something like that

There were a few doubles that went for reasonable prices.  Decent sale normally with sensible premiums

I am noticing the difference between PF69 & PF70 on some things, like doubles, is getting silly
I think I have pretty much decided that with some things, for example the Maklouf doubles, I will be targeting PF69's
I am confident at some point people will go back to buying the coin and not the grade

I'm with that as well - I'm pretty sure the fad for top pop will fizzle out at some point.

I really like it, but then I do particularly like special reverse coins. My favourite coin is the 2003 Brit.

Yeah, that’s why I was gutted to have missed it. Absolute bargain for someone. I didn’t want to place an early bid on that one for fear of being bid up. Lesson learned

Just buy the 69s, get out of the slab and into a box!🤔😮The 69/70 thing is getting obvious with other stuff now🤔

I don't go for the slabbed ones as a rule. But the prices of the 68's and 69's are very reasonable so that's what I often end up with.

Bought 2 in slabs and one in a box. Wouldn't pay a premium for a 70.... rather have the value

Quite a few doubles were good value. Could have bought loads but funds determined otherwise!!

Maybe in years to come and if the mint is still going these will do well but at £80 each they do feel a little pricey. Still very very nice

In current market conditions: what is the average price jump between PF69 double and a pf70 double? Just curious to know. I’m just looking full sovs for now.
