People looking for any kind of return given the endless cuts in saving account interest rates. I've noticed a few people commenting on yesterdays NS&I cuts saying they're going to buy gold coins.

The only times that I've seen gold at spot have been for 5 sov coins. Normally halves and full are about 15-20% above spot.
Far better bet to buy from here or a bullion dealer.

USD and US stocks will come under massive pressure in the coming months. The democrats have been taken over by radicals who, in my view, will seriously damage the US economy, culture and society. If Trump wins then many democratic supports won't accept it given the polls and they'll be mass disorder, particularly if he wins the electoral collage vote and losses the popular vote by a big margin.
I think precious metals have some way to go.

Sadly plenty of that. People buying none or poor paying dividend stock purely on the belief that share prices will rise is the very definition of a bubble. At least gold has intrinsic value.
Interestingly I've seen several professional advisors publicly ripping into gold recently. One has to wonder how much gold they're buying on the sly.

There was an article in the telegraph at the weekend talking about the US stock market. Basically it's now at dot.com bubble level and hasn't reacted to the coming virus recession. A lot seems to be driven by amateur investors pouring in. Many professionals worry that a major crash is coming just like the millennium so are turning to gold.

Seems unlikely that it was delivered to your address. It may be lost in the UPS system and will turn up. I'd guess that UPS have GPS tracking on their vans so they should be able to determine if you address was visited.

Back in 1989 I remember reading the Sunday Times newspaper and in the colourful magazine section was a Royal Mint advert for the special 500th Anniversary of the Sovereign set. At the time there was no way I could afford even the half sovereign (I think the half sovereign’s initial cost was about £79). The double sovereign’s issue price was about £299, and after over thirty years I have just bought an example of this beautiful coin. I guess that is what you call the impact of marketing!
