2024 Six Decades of 007 - 1990s - 1/4oz gold and 2oz silver proofs
Unfortunately, the second set of James Bond coins that came this week, the 1990s, were not in acceptable condition, and I will return.
1/4oz Gold
Mixture of very visible contact marks, big flaws in the fields, and oily residue.



2oz Silver
This is a bit more borderline.  It's basically missing frosting that's the problem, but there's a lot of it.  If this was the only one to return, I might keep it.  Doesn't seem to be anything else wrong with it.

If RM say they've sold out - demand that they strike a replacement coin for you. I say this because I know BackyardBullion has done exactly this in the past and recommended a subscriber on his YouTube channel do the same. If everyone does this and refuses to accept a refund, sooner or later the RM will be forced to up their game in the QC department and introduce protocols that are clearly not in place at the moment to ensure that proof products are at least worthy of their name - if not their generally inflated price.

My Pistrucci arrived yesterday, just the 2oz silver. Didn't have a chance to open until late last night. I wish I hadn't bothered. The worst coin I have received from the comedians at RM.
There is so much of the frosting missing it is laughable. I have highlighted the worst bits. The entire sword takes the cake though!
I don't want it in this state, but any chance of a replacement? Is it worth the hassle? I might just ask for a refund, I couldn't sell this duffer with a clear conscience, any thoughts/advice would be welcome.

Today the three silver 1oz Britannia & Liberty coins arrived from Constantin.  Always a decent fella to deal with. Popped into town as well this morning and picked up this 2012 bullion half sovereign from my favourite shop in the High Street.

I couldn’t resist - high premium but in the SDB it goes for a long time in the future. Wish I’d bought one two years ago! 😂

Small date run of shields received today


The two rares are pretty worn but still decent.  The 1859 has an interesting 8 in the date, not sure at the moment if it is a straight over-stamp or maybe an 8 over 3
