Today has been insane.

A St Gaudens 20 dollar and a King Edward sov from HGM.

Picked up a few more sovs at the auctions today as detailed in this post :

I don't know if that list is in dollars or pounds but a sovereign there is rougly one fourteenth of the Dow number.
The Dow being 794 and the sov 55.
One fourteenth of the recent Dow high of 29000 would give you a figure of 2000 for a sovereign. Hmm!
It's quite possible that the dollar spot of gold will reach parity with the Dow and beyond.

The coins I bought from @Gildeon arrived today. Say what you want, but some things just work very smoothly in the Eurozone. Beautiful coins, great condition. 

 
Now to find those new elephants a place between the others. I don't think I'll ever not be delighted about how happy the one from 2018 (lower left) looks.

Yesterday I received a 1988 proof gold half sovereign. When it arrived it was a little under £3 spot than the price I paid.
Very happy. 😊

COTD is price of gold divided by the price of the Vanguard world index total return fund, which is, imo, a much fairer valuation of gold than the more widely used dow/gold ratio. 
Gold has just about been holding its own against a raging stock market over the last couple of years. Are we about to head back up?
On this measure gold is about the same valuation relative to stocks as it was during 2003-2005.

Today I welcome the 500g Umicore bar from @Bigchilli to my Umicore collection.
Only size missing now is the mega 5kg  bar but as much as it would be nice to have such a large bar I don't think they would be an easy sell due to the cost involved. Items above £500+ seem to slow down a lot around here and a 5kg bar would be £2800 so that's me done for the poured Umicores I think.

Finally arrived from atkinsons. Worth the wait, which is made slightly sweeter by the fact they are now £40 more than when I purchased these 😬

Backdated some of my Rwandan African Wildlife Silver 1 oz Silver (Rwanda Hippo 2012) Bullion Coins arrived today (ordered from Germany www.bekomunzen.de using google translate from German to English and paid via paypal) 49.90 euros per coin and 16.90 Euros delivery I wish someone told me when I started don't collect a series that has been going for years because it will cost you an arm and leg to backdate the coins . Not planning to backdate any further than the 2012 Hippo due to premiums.

Started a new series come out recently Rwanda Nautical Ounce (Santa Maria/Hms Endeavour) and premiums low so I have bought ten of them.

I must admit that I do love the Rwandan BU coins.

If I could would make most of my stack of these lovely Mexican silver coins. Got a fresh stack of the onzas and pesos.

During the week, I bought two more gold sovs from HGM. 1906 and 1981.
I think I 've got over 50 sovs now.
