Tola - It was the base unit of mass in the British Indian system of weights and measures introduced in 1833, although it had been in use for much longer.
 
 
I believe this specimen was produced during the 1960’s  

Full set of 2oz NGC QBs including elusive greyhound I got yesterday.

Received this little beauty back from grading in the post today. Torn between this and the completer as the best design but out of the original 10 this is most definitely my favourite. Goes nicely with the others in the collection 🙃

Really dull and boring for most of you but it’s my first 1 oz Gold Brit, along with 4 free Silver 1oz’s from the referral scheme of you know who, turned up today. First purchase for sometime.

My 1oz Gold arrived this morning, the forum seems to have been down a lot lately so just catching up on the thread on this one... 

I was on the site by chance when it was released, took a chance on this as I really liked the design but havn't collected any others in the series. 



 

Just arrived, took 3 days to get to Florida from Spain, USPS can take three days to get from Miami to Fort Myers...lol...Mintage of 555.
 

First issue of the big five of asia, the 5 OZ antiqued Tiger. What a great piece of art by de Greef and allcollect. 

The postie popped this through my letterbox yesterday.
 

I received these two coins last week, but I thought I would save them until today – the Queen’s 95th Birthday which is what they are commemorating.   Issued under the authority of Alderney, one is a “sovereign” and the other is an eighth of a “sovereign”.   I really like the designs on these coins which are by Jody Clark (both sides).  The other nice thing is that they are 24 carat gold (but they do only weigh 7.34g and 0.917g respectively).

As promised, today I received my prize from @5huggy’s daft competition.
Here it is, I think we all knew it would be minion related. So it arrived today and was left on the doorstep thanks to the postman and I was in!!
I received this hilarious mug and these very fetching earrings. 😆
 

A bit of an impulsive buy. The price was not low enough for the usual PAMP bar, so paid very little extra premium for this great design.
