Just watched this and although I'm sure many will be familiar with Sreetips, I thought this link might be interesting for those that haven't yet seen any of his videos:
Not often you get to see the natural pour ripples with a pure gold bar of that size!

This may work in the UK, but here in the states this will absolutely not fly if the customs officer is competent.

This is true that DXY is down 3.2% in the last month:

 
HOWEVER, gold is up 4.6% in the last month:

 
AND if we go back to the first chart we can see DXY is UP by 6.6% in the last 5 years which would mean that gold is down .... but .... gold is up 68% in that period

 
Definitely true that DXY is an important component of gold price and gold is often described as the inverse of the USD but this relationship is not perfectly correlated. Causation in gold price action has more important factors than just DXY

I was talking to a dealer in the US who was recently offered an amazing 2300 Morgan Dollars by a sole individual.  
Apparently collected from the Mid Sixties to the mid 2000’s and the passed on when the collector passed away.
Whilst the stack was a mixed bag in terms of quality, that’s really quite an achievement just in terms of volume.
Something for us to aim at!

For anyone with a genuine interest in books on Treasure Wrecks, I strongly suggest getting hold of the following book. 

It is, however rare - only 100 copies published but is the bible of all books on shipwreck treasure upto 2002.

Check out Sreetips on YouTube. He has countless videos that detail the best way to go about this process. 
Doing my best to sum it up from memory, you will initially inquart the impure gold with impure silver, melting it into shot or something similar for maximum surface area.  From there you will put the mixture through a series of nitric acid boils, in order to remove all impurities and put the silver into a solution.  That should handle the recovery process unless I forgot something.
After that he refines the golden brown mush, using something called aqua regia, a combination of nitric and hydrochloric acid.  This forms it back into a solution, which he will then filter and then precipitate the pure gold powder using sodium metabisulfite.  After that, he rinses the gold using hydrochloric acid and distilled water.  Finally, (unless he decides to double or triple refine it using a variety of other methods) he adds the pure gold mush/powder to a melt dish, melts it, and pours a bar.
As you can see, taking 10k or 14k gold and turning it into .999 fine 24k gold is no simple feat, requiring the use of harmful acids which in turn produce harmful vapors.  You will definitely need access to a fume hood unless you plan on doing this outside.
