  1. Yeah ok... I'm way too smart for all that, I microwave each of my Silver Eagles on high for 2 minutes prior to stashing them away.
  2. No better looking pre 1933 gold coin exists imho. Good luck with whatever you decide.

    Purple Gold

Entertaining... but Yellow gold shall always be #1.
  4. Sreetips is great! With the correct materials, I feel confident in being able to recover/refine gold to a decent purity (not to his level for certain!) just by watching hundreds of hours of these videos over the years.

    Jesus coin

    I see Muppet Jesus
  6. This may work in the UK, but here in the states this will absolutely not fly if the customs officer is competent.
  7. Unfortunately no surprise here, the U.S. mint is notoriously horrible to it's customers.
  8. I'm here just for this post. Onwards to 2100 and beyond!
  9. Looking forward to scooping up mine tomorrow.
  10. Remember kids, drugs are bad.
  11. While I have enjoyed buying plenty of bullion type 1 Eagles in the past, I could never justify slabbed examples. The prices for graded 100+ year old silver dollars always seemed to make more sense from a collector standpoint. Your ultra cameos are very nice to look at though!
  12. The premiums for all 90% U.S. pre-1965 silver are up substantially since around the start of the "pandemic". It has outpaced nearly all other forms of stackable silver aside from maybe Silver Eagles. Of course, there has always been a difference between 90% dimes, quarters, and half dollars Vs classic silver dollars among investors in general. When looking at the pricing of "BU" examples, the collector side of that spectrum tends to REALLY generate momentum, some would argue a tad overblown.
  13. There are no legit American Silver Eagles being sold by any company, anywhere, at this time for $19. Period.
  14. As a longtime purchaser of Silver Eagles who knows many other U.S. stacker/collectors, the order of preference generally seems to boil down to: 1996 > 1986 > any other Type 1 date (older occasionally = more desirable) > Type 2. This is only for standard bullion coins in identical condition and does not include proof/ reverse proof/ any other special versions.
  15. Morgan proof arrived today, absolutely spectacular.
  16. Peace dollar shipped days ago... Impatiently waiting for Morgan to follow. Surprised that the proofs are selling slower than the standard BU versions. Tempts me to just buy a bunch more πŸ™„
  17. https://www.jmbullion.com/1935-402122-oz-us-assay-office-at-new-york-manhattan-marvel-gold-bar/?utm_source=Klaviyo&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Segment%3A 1935 402.122 oz US Assay Office at New York Manhattan Marvel Gold Bar&_kx=Yc3HDvBeRVa0sPHy2B7IOpqxx5MbCjikJNHWnU0ntGs%3D.WTXR3U Now there's a deal for any serious goldbug! πŸ˜›
  18. Look at those tiny coins... πŸ˜„ keep in mind now, that in the 1800s, the average weight of a man was roughly 60-65 kilos.
