A nice Saturday turned into a perfect one. A trip to Saltwick Bay with my Wife and the dogs. followed by a couple of nice finds in my now favourite Whitby tat shop, and best of all,  fish & chips on the way home. 
 





 
 
 
 

2 very special deliveries today. I was had pretty much decided I wasn’t going to keep the gold 50p set, but now I have my hands on it, it’s stunning, I have no idea what to do!!! And the Queen Vic Sovereign was always a keeper

This little birdie walked yesterday back into it's nest: first NZ platinum coin, mintage 350, 3 graded but only one as top of the pop.

Today I made a mount for the silver boat I received from ilovesilverireallydo.
Still haven't cleaned it yet

The base is made from "Olive wood"

A 2018 Double Sovereign with the “Crown 65” Sapphire mint mark.

I have had the opportunity to grab this Tiffany Art coin from a LCS at a screaming low low low price that I could not miss it !
This is the 2011 "Manueline" . An architectural and decorative style which developed in Portugal in the late XVth and early XVIIth centuries. and which associates traditional Gothic structures with Romanesque, Moorish or Oriental inspired ornamental sculptures.
The coin is not as impressive as the 2019 Khmer (not the same advanced minting technologie) but still really beautiful.
This coin sells around 800£/1000£ on ebay. I got it for the tenth of these prices

And back from more work travel with the latest received. Primary theme here is old gold...went with some Numismatic varieties given the rise in gold prices.
A great pick up from @gold. He is an excellent seller of this, I would go as far to say, almost EF 1818 George III Gold Half Sovereign, at a very reasonable price.

Also, a VF 1793 George III Gold Spade Guinea. This is my first Guinea and I am really enjoying these old milled coins.

Coming back to the twentieth century, a beautiful lucky dip 1979 Gold Sovereign BU. 

And we also received a gorgeous 1997 1/4 oz Gold Britannia Proof. 

Lastly, picked up five of the latest 2019 China 1 oz Silver Long-Whiskered Dragon Dollar Restrike (PU)...one of which is already spoken for by @kewlbeenz!

20 euro Silver domed coin from the Austrian Mint! Was sold out in 1 day, luckily my brother lives close to that mint in Austria, picked one up, shipped it to me! 
Beautiful detailed coin, with glow in the dark stars on it. As a big Apollo mission fan, this is a great addition to my collection!!! Want more Apollo coins! One can be so happy with this!

Atkinsons have a proof 2004 1/4 Brit for £299 and a 2005 for £312.
Seems half decent at current prices given they are low mintage years but I guess it depends if they've been man handled.

I'm sing the big buys pushing it Don whether they are real or not, trying to stop it crossing the next line..you see those big once an hour or so sells during off peak trading to drag down the climb...but when it comes back online here the capitalists know there's no reason for it to fall so get in on the lows..you could day rade paper on these two metals and make 20% or more a year with the manipulation, setting buys with a 0.5% drop during off peak on either metal...it's almost daily or nightly going on.

There has been an number of attempts by the usual culprits to smash price down - in past years we would have seen price tumbling down over the summer (quiet season) - price has come back and back and back. They have destroyed the value of their fiat currencies and now the chickens are coming home to roost.

Thanks for sharing the image. Looking at the top of the Queens head (above the crown) the finish is not perfect, same with the others I have seen. Along with various other imperfections.  They are a good looking Sovereign but in my opinion the finish is poor. It will be interesting to see how they grade.  Thanks again. Karl
