Bring back very basic please (with caps though). The large presentation boxes need to be stored somewhere safe and I like my store small and compact.
How about a boxless proof issue and we can choose our own packaging?

I like the early Britannia boxes with the brass sprung push button, it reminds me of opening specialist engineering tools, like a micrometer.

@LawrenceChard I think the one that is perhaps more pronounced is the 2 Euro coin.
It would not have been quite so bad if Norway had been part of the EU but they (wisely) chose not to join.  Partly I guess because of the wealth of Norway (Norges - the Sovereign wealth fund holds something like 300k for every Norwegian citizen….not bad huh?)
So Norway was removed from the coin leaving…

Contraversy opinion:
If you are on this forum you don't need to worry about CGT. If you were so rich CGT mattered you would be taking advice from your money manager. The fact that brits / valiants / QBs etc are CGT free is a red herring.

Even normally, the two minarets look rather phallic, but he noticed a small scratch onn the right-hand one, which makes it look slightly more so. His theory is that it must have been deliberate.

I'm not entirely sure how I ended up collecting these sets, but at least they aren't as mindnumbingly boring as silver Maples or Phillies et al.
I prefer the wooden "Premium Proof" boxes for storage as opposed to the original shiny black boxes.  As yet I haven't landed the 2017 for this collection. Let me know if you know of one for sale.
My second set of such photos - down to about 10 minutes "arrangement" time now @TheShinyStuff. Donning and removing the gloves is a bit of a pisser.

Sets don’t come much more satisfying to own than this.  My favourites are the Crown, Florin and Penny 😃

Exactly. I’ve read your post tonight and yesterday evening and I don’t understand why some still think the 2022 Proof sovereign will be a bit of a ‘flash in the pan’.
Some like the reverse design, some don’t. But regardless, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy and own a sovereign or a collection of sovereigns of any denomination that celebrates a monarch of 70 years.
I think the bullion sovereign will be very popular regardless but especially with those looking back with hindsight. Dare I also say it, might this be more popular perhaps than the 1989 sovereign.
A close contender or maybe a draw.
Only time will tell.

Thanks for this Roy, I've edited my earlier post as I had inaccurately cited the Gold Price into November 2016- and as you point out- the release was in late October- Gold was higher in the October so the Premium you paid was a mere +96% over Spot 😂
