Considering they are on the Royal Mint site, then I'd say Overpriced is a likelihood.

Jvw reacted to stefffana in The most beautiful kilo bar in the world - Angel's Silver
Hi, everyone!
I am happy and I want to share my happiness with TSF. Why? Because you are my best friends I ever had. Before TSF, I have been a lone wolf and now I am part from a pack.
I want to grow a gold and silver stack for my little granddaughter until she will be 18 years. Now, she is only seven months. My little angel....
With her gold stack was very easy to decide: every month I will add one tenth of oz, in a beautiful shape. But the decision about her silver stack was very difficult to take until two months ago, when @BackyardBullion sold to me two raw pieces of pure silver at a very good price, on behalf of another TSF member..
That was the moment when in my mind started an idea to make every year a kilo bar for my little angel.... Angel's Silver...... Angel's Silver.....!!!! @SilverAngel!!!!!!! One of TSF official sponsors....
I have asked them nicely if they can make the most beautiful kilo bar in the world for my angel. @SilverAngel, Jan and Roy, accepted the challenge on 21st of June.
When they told me yesterday that the first kilo bar has arrived from Assay Office and they sent me few pictures, I have started crying... An old man crying of happiness...
Look what Jan and Roy - Silver Angel have done for my granddaughter!
I can not thank them enough, my words are not enough to express my gratitude...
I want only to share with all of you my happiness and to beg them to continue their artistic hard work and start a series of silver bars named Angel's Silver.
I can bet that all these bars will be highly collectible in the future.
I will use now two pictures made by @BackyardBullion with the raw metal he sold me and six pictures made by @SilverAngel.
I do apologise for using their intellectual property. I will add more pictures after the beauty will be in my hand.
Feel free, please, to comment on here your opinions about the most beautiful silver kilo bar in the world.
I'd like if possible, Jan and Roy to add more content to this story, eventually some videos/pictures with various steps of creation. They are in fact the heroes of my story!🤗
Thank you for looking!
Kindest regards,
Stefan.
P.S.: The first 18 numbers from kilo bars series are reserved by me for my little angel.🤗

Jvw reacted to Charliemouse in Hi everyone
I probably should have written this a week ago, since I've been snapping up silver left and right since I've been here.
I'm new to this, although coins and precious metals have always interested me, and I've owned the occasional random piece now and again.
I figured that keeping all my money sitting in a bank is pretty boring, so I'd put a little into precious metals. Plus, it takes care of a few gifts that are a bit different from the usual.
Cheers

Jvw reacted to LawrenceChard in Has Brexit Killed off silver stacking in the UK?
No!
Despite my advice about investing in precious metals:
Gold should be your first choice, because investment gold is exempt from VAT in the UK (& also EU).
Silver is still in big demand.
For example @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer has a standing request for 30,000 silver Britannias per month from the Royal Mint, although we have only been receiving 10,000.
We did manage a few days ago to buy an extra 20,000 from a fellow distributor / competitor, but these are for offshore storage, which legally avoids VAT for larger investors.
Of course, this still fails to equal the 3.2 tonnes of silver coins we once imported from Perth Mint, back in the days of the Credit / Banking crisis. that was quite a stack, a 7 pallet load on the back of a 7.5 tonne wagon, which I drove. (From Manchester Airport, not from Western Australia).

Precious metals spot prices are down because people lost money in the stock market and they have to cover their margin calls. That what I have heard on CNBC TV today.
So nothing fundamentally wrong with precious metals. Probably it's good prices to stack more (if the premiums are low).

Jvw got a reaction from LemmyMcGregor in How many ounces is a good stack?
I think 1 oz is a good stack to start with.
Then build up to as much as you feel comfortable and build a stack that provides in the need to start stacking in the first place.
Yes, my answer doesn't really answer anything, and at the same time gives you plenty of answers. If you can get your question a bit more specific then the answers might be more detailed also

Jvw reacted to Happypanda88 in How many ounces is a good stack?
Welcome to the forum.
This question has been asked a number of times. Some considers 100 ounces to be a good amount for newbies. Others say 500 ounces or even 1,000 ounces. But I'm pretty sure there are members on the forum with much bigger stack and enough to sink a boat ! (You'll get the joke if you stick around long enough).
I'd say it is whatever you're comfortable with and your budget allows.
Rather than starting a new thread, perhaps you could join in the conversation on an existing thread below.

Jvw reacted to Rosco in New Member, Wanting to Say Hello
Hello all,
I'm new to precious metals and don't have much knowledge but really like the idea of diversifying my wealth and maybe collecting some coins. I have been browsing around and am quite astonished by the amount of variety in some of these coins. I am interested in starting a tube of 25 1oz Silver Britannias to start with possibly. I would like to see any coins with age of sail ships on them much like Temeraire on the new style £20 if such a thing exists?
Anyway, I look forward to dealing with people and browsing through what you all have to offer.
Cheers,
Rosco

Jvw reacted to Hamza in Hello from a newbie
I'm from the UK, and I've always wanted to own some gold growing up. Very recently, I've been looking into buying gold, mainly by watching YouTube videos. I plan to take baby steps, starting very small, most likely with a Sovereign. Still got tons of stuff to look into in the meantime about how it all works, and I look forward to learning more!

I own a couple of 1oz gold reverse proof Libertads. I love the design and the quality of them. Also the low mintage is appealing in a weird way.

Jvw got a reaction from LawrenceChard in Another Boating Accident? - 1783 Mexican Silver 8 Reales El Cazador Shipwreck Coin
Mind you @LawrenceChard, for some members these boating accidents are very real, in contrast to the coin if you ask me. 🙄
What is think happend; Back in 1784 when the Agencia Tributaria were actively looking for unsolicited gold and silver. The owner of this coin got cold feet and was afraid they would find his coin. So what he did was he quickly wrote a certificate stating the coin was found at the bottom of the sea. Apparently lost in a boating accident, which he happen to have found. 🙃
Edit: He used your initials for credibility as everyone already knew in 1784 you were going to be the leading PM dealer in the market. Foresight is a bliss!

It's no joke, Lawrence... so many tragic boating accidents, so many stacks lost to the bottom of the lake/sea (delete as appropriate).
With your shop being so close to open water, I'm surprised you can keep any floating stock...
