    Hello,

I would like to start pouring how do I start?

    Ingredients:
    1 lime, cut into wedges
    2 teaspoons sugar
    2 ounces cachaça
    Garnish: lime wheel

    Steps:
In a double rocks glass, muddle the lime wedges and sugar.

Fill the glass with ice, pour the cachaça, and stir briefly.

    Garnish with a lime wheel.

    Easy!

Update: Then enjoy the drink and watch some of BYB movies. ;)

Hello! Just wanted to quickly introduce myself.

I'm someone from "the colonies" who just started stacking and collecting at the beginning of the new year. I've been in the crypto space since 2011. It was my first ever investment and I've been looking for ways to diversify and reallocate profits into other positions, one of which has been bullion, mainly in Canadian Maples and Silver Eagles.

While I'm still heavily into cryptocurrencies (I run a modest Cardano stakepool and do some professional work in the distributed ledger technology space via research grants from Singapore and the European Union), I've come to very much appreciate the materiality of precious metals, and have been balancing my activities between collecting (Modern/Contemporary graded) and stacking (1:50 Gold vs. Silver coins).

Thank you very much for the rich information and lively discussion here at The Silver Forum. It's been extremely helpful and entertaining to read all the post so far, and looking forward to interacting with everyone soon!

    Toodles my G.

    Welcome to the forum!

Hi all, just stumbled into silver and discovered this place by chance on a boring night shift at work. So many tempting offers and can already see the benefit of buying/selling on here.

    Quick couple of questions:

Is it worth upgrading to a premium account, and how safe is buying and selling on here?

I'm starting with silver and looking towards gold in the future so any advice much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. I like my premium account. I like to support the forum and it give me the opportunity to have first dibs on sale threads. And I only buy from members with positive feedback, but never had any problem.

Beware: Silver is a gateway metal towards gold. ;)

So it won’t be skipping direct to Prince William in seems:

Sorry couldn’t find the non-precious metals option in the subject start drop-down 🤷‍♂️ Feel free to move!

Comments invited. It won’t be long until “big-ears” is on the coins 🤔

I guess the 2022 Sovereign was the last sovereign with the Elizabeth II image. 2023 could be Charles for a quick year and then straight to William from 2024 forward ;).

I can see some RM 'special-triple-full-sovereigns-with-3-reigns-in-one-collectors-box-editions' in the making. #premium_is_the_real_king

Hello I'm a Stacker and Collector from the Channel Islands I adore Gold and silver and of course some Platinum, I have been stacking and collecting for nearly 4 years now.

Previously I was into buying & collecting gemstones from auctions which I did for about a year and a bit it, which I still have.

I have always been fascinated by how the earth has so many amazing minerals which we can mine ourselves, the geological history of the earth really facinates me.

All I watch on YouTube is anything related with Gold, Silver, Mining shows, Prospectors, Podcasts & Financial Videos 😂

I am also a volunteer Acheologist

I have very little confidence so I don't have a youtube or anything 😄 but I have an instergram page @Guernsey_Bullion_Stacker. If you would like to follow me that would be awesome.. my goal is to hopefully get to the stage where i can start making content on diffrent platforms.

I am also aiming in the future to open up my own Bullion & Collectables Buisness in the Channel Islands with my partner and not just buy and sell bullion but also help people get a better understanding about gold and silver.

If read all this all you're awesome! 👍 and thank you for taking the time to read this. ❤

Hello all,  I live in central Florida USA and I'm ready to buy silver, as much as I can handle please.  A you tube channel named Backyard Bullion brought me here.  I have no idea where I can buy silver, nor what size or shape or type that I should buy.  All I know is that I would like to buy and/or trade for silver, up to $5k worth, part of which involves trading my prized 14 gold necklace for silver.  My goal is to own as much silver as I can stack or hold.  So if you decide to work with me here be advised that I am totally new to silver.  I work 12-15 hr days six days a week, so forgive me if I do not respond within 0.03 seconds, I'm only offer 1-24 hours response time.  Advice, comments, concerns and etc. , thanks.  Note: My user name is actually my first name (Kevin) backwards.

Welcome to the forum, and happy stacking!

I have a 2003 Britannia still in its presentation card but I prefer to have a coin in a capsule. What are peoples thoughts on presentation cards vs a capsules.
Is the presentation card worth more/a better investment?

In the card it will cary a small premium probably. But I also like a coin in a capsule better than a coin in a card.

I usually resolve this issue by buying another coin and stick that in a capsule. Great excuse to keep buying and justifying all purchases.

    Best of both worlds ;)

I’m new to stacking but understand spot price, premiums and vat etc! So would be looking for some good deals and definitely won’t want to be paying over the odds for them!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I just looked him up, his stuff looks great, thanks for the tip. I already ordered the box from the mint but I'll definitely keep him in mind for the future

Trust me, his boxes are beautiful and very well crafted. I own multiple and sometimes the box outshines their content ;)

Hi guys I was looking at the RM bullion section and they are doing a nice box that holds 10 brittanias with the idea you get 1 a year.

I don't need another brittania right now but I really like the idea of a neat storage box for my coins, can anyone recommend a nice box/case for 10 uk 1oz gold coins?

    Have you tried contacting @Alun?

Hi all. I’m new to precious metals and hoping to learn more.
Would have liked to get in on the British Monarchs King Henry VII 2022 silver proof coins but I’m so far behind they all sold before I could get one. So any advice on getting hold of these new limited mintage coins in the future, or even which other series are worth looking at, would be great.

    Great question, thanks!

I go for modern artworks where I think the pieces have presence or some nostalgia and, as with any investment, it's about buying when no one else sees the value especially if you can get an original or very low print run piece.

JJ Adams is a favourite for hanging art as he kind of exploded in popularity but really if I like it, see value in enjoying it and it's appeal to people in general then quality will always give a return.

Do you have any favourite artists or styles?

I like JJ Adams! Great looking art and a solid investment.

I used to buy loads of art, still have everything on the wall. But i never started collecting for the investment. I bought art because i liked it or to support the artist. Usually starting artists and not yet discovered. I still have good contacts with them.

I like Paul Insect a lot, but his prices went way beyond my budget. I do think all his art is brilliant.

    Hi All,

I Inherited a small coin collection just over a month ago, and in the process of researching the contents I unwittingly fell down the silver rabbit hole. What began as a passing interest quickly turned into a bit of an obsession.

I then proceeded down a path I suspect many have trodden before me. Bullion by Post, Atkinson's, eBay and now a hundred or so ounces later, Here. I seriously regret not finding here first.

Anyhow, looking forward to continuing to grow the stack and reading my way through the old posts. Seems like friendly place.

    Cheers, Dan

    Haaaa!

And beware, silver is a gateway metal towards gold in a heartbeat.

    Hello All,

I just got into stacking last year, bought a 25 tube of 2021 silver Britannia's. Quickly then bought the 2022 Gold Platinum Jubilee Proof Sovereign. And for Christmas my Nieces, Nephews and God kids got 1oz Britannia's.

I think I am interested in stacking as a way to potentially pass wealth on to my family. The collecting side, I am not too sure about, but I am quite a big fan of Her Maj, and feel like the Platinum Jubilee is a massive event, and the fact she won't be around for too long has me thinking this is a good time to buy collectables. The announced SOTD Sovereign has me very interested, I'll see if I can buy one in the queue, if not I don't think I'll be too upset. My next purchase after I'll try to get a SOTD or Proof of the new Monarch.

My goals, to see if I can get a good 10% of wealth in PMs, probably UK coins, and a good mix of silver (annoying VAT) and gold. Silver will be Britannia's, but I can't decide between gold 1/4oz Britannia's or full Sovereigns, and probably will do half and half. I am not too worried about the premiums on 1/4oz Britannia's. I like the divisibility, and the ability to be able to buy more regularly (averaging up and down the fiat price).

Anyway, I've enjoyed the YT videos, and pleased to see such an active forum.

    Best, MC

Welcome to the forum. And to settle your dilemma : Sovereigns! ;)

    Good evening Silver Forum community,

I am a newbie in the Forum! I have been collecting coins since I was a teenager (thanks to my grandpa), getting into the silver and gold one since 2014. I would say I am more a collector than a silver/gold hoarder, although the current times may be asking for a bit of silver/gold stacking!

Happy to learn more from you and have great interactions! Have a pleasant weekend!

    Hi All

Ive been a free member on the forum for a while, as I found it from Backyard Bullion's YouTube channel after I'd started stacking during the crash of 2020, but I'm now paid-up and hoping to do all my purchases/sales on here from now on.

I'm a firm believer in tangible investments, buying art and sculpture as well as bullion. Having worked in finance for a long time and seeing the future of pensions, I love having something other than numbers on a screen when it comes to storing my money.

If anyone is into EDC (every day carry) as a hobby, give me a shout!

    Thanks and take care

Welcome to the forum! Would love to know what art and sculptures you invest in also.
