  1. Not a flattering effigy of Bob Marley (due to the dreadlocks) but still one of my most treasured coins… 1995 Jamaica $100 Robert Marley gold
  2. As Ms Swan would say: “She looks like a man!”
  3. noun. /aːˈtistik ˈlaisəns/ /aːrˈtistik ˈlaisəns/ (also artistic license) the way in which artists or writers change facts in order to make their work more interesting or beautiful.
  4. Why not trade 2 sovereigns + some cash for a Double sovereign
  5. From 2016 onwards, China Mint went metric. The 1 Troy ounce (31.1 grams) coin was reduced to 30 grams. The designs continue to change every year. 2016 is a good starting point for new Panda collectors cause they would NOT have to chase the older/higher premium coins.
  6. More collector than stacker. The most I have of is the China Panda gold bullion proof like series in 1 Troy ounce size. Full run from 1982 - 2015 For the various year designs refer to brochure picture below…
  7. Another option is to consider trading like to like in order to thin or eliminate duplicates without affecting your collection inventory count.
  8. As Ms Swan would say: She looka like a man!
  9. Happens to crypto currency, in spite of having no physical form or intrinsic value.
  10. Personally, my most preferred size is the 1 troz. 1/4 troz is the ideal size. 1/10 troz is the least size I have acquired. My favorite 1/10 troz acquisition is the 1/10 troz gold Vault Protector.
  11. 2001 USA $1 SAE 9/11/01 WTC Ground Zero Recovery Sterling Silver Ictus ring
  12. I pocket piece carry a variety of coins in my collection (depending on my mood) from PMs (Au, Pt, Ag) to non-PMs. My favorite pocket piece is a 500 Million Mark denominated 1923 Germany Ruhr-Rhine Notgeld. Shown below is an 1855 Great Britain Victoria Shield Sovereign…
  13. The coin: 1995 Jamaica $100 Robert (Bob) Marley The music: Jammin’ “No bullet can stop us now, we neither beg nor we won’t bow; Neither can be bought nor sold We all defend the right; Jah - Jah children must unite: Your life is worth much more than gold.”

One more for the top anybody’s wish list would be the US Mint’s 2009 modern day recreation (based on original dies and using modern day technology) of Augustus St Gauden’s piedfort pattern $20 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle minted in 9999 gold.

Being previous year issues, they would all be challenging to source. The Perth Mint Lunar Dragon would be the higher premium of the 3 with the Dragon being popular. The earlier year Panda (2005 & 2007) would be higher premium and lower mintage (if you can source them). Good luck with the hunt. I was going to suggest the American Gold Buffalo from your wish list but they did not start until 2006.

Perth Mint Lunar Year gold issues for those years (Rooster, Pig & Dragon). Me, I have 1 troz gold China Panda for my 2 kids born in 1985 & 1989. I actually have a complete run of all the 1 troz gold designs from 1982 - 2015 (quit the China Panda gold series when they switched to 30 gram weights). Pic of China Panda 1 troz gold designs from 1982 - 2015. 2016 and onwards are 30 grams only.
  18. My all time favorite is William Wyon’s powerful rendition of St George slaying the dragon…
  19. I have given gold coins as gift to my nieces and nephews for their wedding (starting in 1990) with the year of their wedding (1/4 - 1/2 troz) Same for my daughter on the year she was married (1 troz). I bought gold coins for my kids with their birth year (1 troz) and have also done so for my grandchildren (1 troz).
  20. All the 1 troz platinum Panda issues from before (1987 - 1990) were all proof issues (highest max mintage was 1989 with 3000). 1987 - 1990 are shown in the above photo. The two on top are Coin Show Commemorative Pandas. 1987 NY platinum and 1988 Basel gold with an error Pt die designation (no Pt were issued for Basel).
