Perceived crises coming and everybody buys gold.
Actual crises hits results in people having to sell gold irrespective of their wishes

Indian jewellery sales are not going to dent this bull market of gold, seriously. There are other, more important bullish factors supporting gold on the global market. I can't see any significant fall in the gold price this year. Any dip is just a buying opportunity. £2,000+ before the end of the year. But I personally wish gold would be cheaper this year so I could buy more.

Weren't you the guy who was sitting Gold down to $400 back in late March? If you weren't totally wiped out then, you are just another anonymous mischief making fraud. Seen your sort on hundreds of stock BBs. A waste of space.

you still haven't explained why, since your first post saying gold was going to $400, commercial short positions have declined and the gold price is higher.

There are rumours that China is lying about their reserve holdings....... some say they have over 20,000 tons instead of the stated 2,000 because they have the most productive gold mines in the world, state owned, and none of that gold leaves their country. All part of their plan to make their currency replace the dollar internationally. Considering the CCP lies about everything, it really wouldn't surprise me.

This is exactly why ETF's paper market was created so the price of gold could be controlled and supressed. Also I will bet anyone to try and swap thier ETF cert for physical - wont happen!

Gold has no memory, as long as its pure it meets its purity and weightthen it doesnt matter what name is on it.

For U.K. investors, I see a decent 6/12 months for gold given Boris has repeatedly stated they aren’t going to return to austerity and we should be leaving the E.U in December I can see the £ hitting parity with the dollar so that’s 18% just on currency.. For anyone calling me crazy Raoul Pal is also  touting pound dollar parity...

For me I was doing a job somewhere that I needed to be able to be able to get out of if things got sticky. A pouch of Sovs would ensure I stood a good chance of paying my way to safety if the need arose.  
 
Then met my wife whose family lived in Perth (Australia).  Her father had collected bits of gold - both from fossiking In the Pilbara from the Perth Mint. We enjoyed talking gold and the odd visit to the Perth Mint.
Simple start for me!
 
 

Gold has jumped up in price again, it getting harder and harder to see these low quotes of $400 or even $800 coming to fruition, Wonger you losing the bet you placed?
