I would have thought that the more worn coin (1915) would be a loose fit, not the tight one, so the raised nick theory makes sense. You could check this out with a digital caliper measure. If you've got one, that is....

Looks like one is a Melbourne Mint half, which might explain the minute difference in diameter, I'm guessing the difference is minuscule?

Yep I’d also put it down to the edges. Coins of that age will display different wear from years of being in circulation, I don’t think you have anything to worry about

Yes. I had exactly the same thing. All coins were bought from HGM so I dud not do any further tests. Also have lighthouse caps so possibly could be them that are slightly undersized? 

I have to scratch my post about being a bad bad boy and getting nothing for christmas, the present didn't arrive but my post should change, I went out to fill the car,bought a scratch ticket and won $100, got home to find my wife on the speaker phone with my airforce pilot son and my beautiful daughter in law...and the second I walked in my son announced they were expecting....I'm going to be a grandad...That is a great Christmas, so I received the best news anyone could hope for at Chrstmas....stuff the present...I got what I always wanted.

Today i was lucky to receive a hand made three layer box from my father in law for all my bullion and collectible coins. 
The handles and brass hinge’s are recycled from scrap. All the wood was recovered from leftover cuts. 

But if the Melon was a felon and the spot price was high...

I think this will be the coin I try my hand at cleaning for the first time, given it's purely bullion and a big coin seems like a good test subject. It could use a little TLC 😆 
This coin is very thin making it appear very large relative to it's actual weight. It weighs 13% less than two of the 1/4 oz coins combined, but appears similar in size to about 5-6 of them 😮 

I love this. I really want to pick up a nice graded Roman coin just to have one, but I started looking at the websites and got lost in the whirlwind of info!

Hello, everyone. I recently received this beauty. This is my first gold coin (although I have gold bars from before). The camera doesn't deliver the right colour. I was expecting more coins from another order, but the delivery company is taking their time.

Received these today sent by @kneehow2018 8 x 1 oz Gold 2016 Britannia's very well packaged thank you.
I did not own any foreign Gold coins or Britannia's but picked fair amount just in the last couple of months.
