Got this as one of my Christmas presents, a British 1937 dated coronation 1 crown, minted from .500 silver.
This coin was last crown to be made of silver in the UK, and was brought out to commemorate the coronation of king George VI in 1937, it was made for one year only, with only 418,600 made.
A very large coin, you would certainly know about it with a few of these in your pockets back then.
Surprisingly this coin is still legal tender in the UK, having been revalued at 25p, though they are worth quite a bit more than this now, pics dont do it justice and the coin has most of its original mint lustre remaining.

I wasn’t quite sure where to go next after my initial foray into historic sets and to follow on from my purchase of the 1902 Edward VII Matte Proof Set.
Decided on this beautifully preserved 1911 George V Proof Coronation Set- a tiny 952 10 Coin ‘short’ sets were issued.

Once again, thank you to @Elements @Roy & @SilverMike who helped me decide 😀

2008 RAM 1oz Silver Proof " Reg Mombassa" Kangaroo   Struck by the Royal Australian Mint, this was the second in the highly successful "Artists" series of 2007-09.   "Well-known" and "legendary" Reg Mombassa has been best known in Australia for a multitude of art works and styles as well as music. His art work has graced the Mambo Graphics clothing series, music recording covers, books, calendars and  he has even had the honour of painting one of Melbourne's historic trams. Reg was also extremely famous for his musical skills as co-founder and guitarist in the band Mental As Anything.    Oh, really? Personally I had never heard of him prior to this coin and have had zero intention of ever learning anything more, even based on this alluring CV.   "Shining through on this coin is Reg's typical Aussie larikin sense of humour for which he is so well known." Righty-ho, thanks for clearing that up. All well and good if you're an Ozzie, but a load of irrelevant tosh if you're not.   Regardless of the sycophantic gushings of the RAM, I really like this rather endearing fellow and it proved to be extremely popular with collectors too, the full mintage of 7,500 selling out very swiftly. Of all the proof Skippies. this version has proved the best "investment" and is still highly sought after - as, indeed, are the both its FrUnc and gilded counterparts.   Huge thanks to @CadmiumGreenfor his invaluable assistance in delivering this.

That seems rather unfair!  Looking at his picture I am sure he would have made a very fine, valued and loved BBC children's TV presenter in the 70s or 80s

TIFFANY ART Isfahan 5 Oz Silver Coin
Finally arrived in the mail. Such a gr8 looking coin.
The presentation box and COA were as cheap looking as anything I've seen. I know that I didn't pay for the pkg per se, but my goodness.

Gilded Silver Kangaroos 2004-2006   The RAM issued official "selectively gold plated" silver 1oz roos for just seven years, from 2003 to 2009. Although I am not a big fan of gilded silver coins, I felt that these seven just about merit a place in a complete collection...although I do draw the line at the felt-tip pen coloured cereal packet tokens.   The actual mintages of all three were quite similar to their proof counterparts,  - this translating into what I consider to be somewhat unjustified high prices outside Australia.   In summary, quite an attractive set but only worthy of purchase by avid agroophiles until prices fall.

This is my latest pick up a Netherlands 10 Gulden made in 1933 from .900 gold, this version of the 10 Gulden came out in 1925 and featured the final mature Queen Wilhelmina portrait, it was only made in low mintages in 1925, 1926, 1927, 1932 and finally 1933 which was also the last year of circulating gold coins in the Netherlands.
The coin is a similar size and weight to a full British sovereign.
Mintage for the year 1933 was 2,462,101
Bought the coin from Bullion By Post as a Christmas present to myself and they were superb, they got a selection out of the best condition coins they had and photographed them for me to pick one, and had it delivered to me the next day, all the dealers I contacted on here couldn't even be bothered to get back to me.
Pics don't do justice to all the original mint lustre still present.

Not every coin that puts a huge smile on your face has to cost an arm and a leg. My very sincerest thanks to @Chrispringle85for sending me the 2020 at cost to himself. What an absolute gentleman.
Thanks also of course to @richatthecroftfor parting with the complete date run in the first place. Just one spot to fill. Or shall I order another box? Decisions, decisions 😋😋
