For those who don't know this is an incredible rarity, and I think the condition is just lovely considering it's rarity. You'll have to do your own research if interested more in the background as I don't want to copy and paste a chunk here

Ebay purchase just arrived today, I think it's safe to say I've caught the sovereign bug!

Home from work today to a few packages one from @augur with some .925 one from @649tom with the dragon and Phoenix one from @MikeSol with some .925 and 2 90% halves and a couple of eBay purchases 

Received this beauty today, hallmarked JM&Co, Britannia, London, 1981, coa with matching serial stamped into the rim of the coin, original bill of sale from Johnson Matthey and original advert from the telegraph, £44 it was back then! Silver was around £5/oz around July 1981 and on the decline so that is a hefty premium, £44.67/troy oz!, nearly 9 x spot price. Today's ratio of spot price would be around £106, while inflation makes it equivalent to £180 today, fun fact I suppose ?

My first 1838, all my photos going forward in this format are untouched, unprocessed, no attempt made to hide coin surface blemishes as it's for archival/website purposes. I'm actually fed up with all these eBay listings making coins look MS when they are bullion!

An 1897 bullion half sovereign from Atkinsons .

This week received this very nice 2002 sovereign purchased from a fellow SilverForum member. Have already taken it out of the capsule and put it into a flip ready to be sent off to be graded. 

2017 1 oz gold Buffalo and 2018 St.Helena Spade Guinea. Not sure where the spots on the guinea came from in the picture.  Naked coin shows none of them.

1859 Ansell. Wear/flattening of the hair but the fields and coin overall really clean, very happy as price was fair.

Today i got Another Dragon, the 5oz Tuvalu,  I put the 2oz so you can see size comparison,  It really does look nice .

Been selling off my modern premium silver coins and a few half sovs to build this stash out. Took some pics before I dropped it off to a safety deposit box. 
I just felt that these semi numi “junk” coins  will hold value well so go into my retirement stash. The case is an old poker chip set case which makes a pretty good way to store them.
