There'll be more than a few here who remember around £700 in mid-2015 during the life of this forum. Is it really 8 years? It only seems like yesterday, but still, it's a decent enough time and will be before the majority here started stacking.

that's why it's better to buy a mixture of bullion and semi-numismatics. keep turning stock over depending on spot price and the value of the semi-nums.

don't worry, just wait, it will go down again soon. It will keep doing this ad infinitum, until it doesn't, and goes up or down a lot!
buy and hold doesn't work with gold. that is, unless you're prepared to hold until it goes to your target, whatever that may be.
better to buy when it's low(ish) and sell some when it goes up. rinse and repeat.
that way, you'll keep making profit enabling you to increase your holding over time and always having a stock for when it does go up substantially.

Members who possibly have too much time on their hands or just don't value the time other members have to spend researching current prices and photographing the coins in question. Couple this with being cheapskate and wanting to buy coins on here for knockdown prices.
This usually manifests as a wanted ad for xxxxx "at a reasonable price".
I've started ignoring these now as by the time I take pictures and work out what I would consider a fair and reasonable price, they've either changed their mind or really wanted a firesale price. If that is the case, whay not just say so up front?
If someone wants to sell a coin, they will be listing it. If a buyer puts up a wanted ad they are trying to entice someone who is not actively looking to sell, to sell. They are asking for a favour and consequently should treat the seller with a little respect.
Regarding haggling, I hate low-ball offers. I think it shows disrespect, certainly for a seller who obviously knows the value of things. It is also timewasting.
If a seller is desperate to sell and might consider a low offer, it is generally obvious from the listing.
I know often the seller might make an allowance for offers in their original price, but this will be minor.

Yes the Jubilee / memorial and the coronation sovereigns will coins that are sought after years from now. When you think how much sets such as the 1937 4 coin coronation set is worth @20k in good nick, and there was 5 and half thousand of them. The current sets are a 5th of that.
Having said that RM is going to struggle now to keep sales going at anything like these levels, most of what is coming up is going to be mundane. Not everyone likes Sci-fi and Music legends with 2 first names 😜

The most remarkable news of today is Chards giving Free Postage on these coins!
Looks like the nagging of @LawrenceChard by a few on here has paid dividends. Although their normal discount seems to have suffered a little😉
