Recieved today a stunning 4 sovereign set all graded NGC 70 Ultra Cameo 
The double is simply a thing of beauty 
RIP your majesty I will hold your coins with pride, her death affected me more than I had ever thought so felt compelled and managed to secure at a non arse penetrating price

Bloody hell rich creamed my pants on this one 

Not unlike an expectant father again, I’ve anxiously waited for this Sixpence to arrive from the USA, it having been held to ransom by the courier, initially demanding 20% HMRC VAT/Duty.
Now it has finally landed, I don’t think I have ever been so thrilled to receive a coin.
An exceptional example of a Charles I (1625- 1649) Sixpence. Briot’s First Milled issue 1631-32 mm Flower & B. obv. His crowned bust left with falling lace collar and VI behind.  Rev. Square topped shield/ long cross dividing arms. 2.99g, 26mm,  Spink 2855
I feel fortunate to own this lovely Sixpence, I’m not sure I’ll find another 400 year old coin in such condition.

After a long wait, finally arrived today. I love this beautiful series. 5oz Black Flag The Rising Sun and its little brother as well as a few other beauties. Have a great week and love from Maxe.

Recieved these 2020s today.  Scratch itched.
Must resist any more coins for now as im off to Goodwood Revival on friday and need some spending money for that.
 
 
 

I'm not normally a fan of quarter sovereigns issued by unusual places, but I couldn't say no to this PF70 graded one for less than the price of a bullion quarter sovereign!

A gem of a Gillick sovereign from @Colnago  these have been so under rated.  A beautiful example. 

Been looking at buying this Sovereign for some time and planned to buy one by the end of the year. But after recent events i thought id pull my finger out and get it before (or incase) prices went up of became harder to get hold of.

Pick up today from the jewellers in town,
Sold to them by the family of a chap who had passed away, found in a box in his attic along with some other 1966 stuff, mostly world cup related.  Probably some of the best condition Gillicks I have ever picked up.  

Turned up today, beautiful - double 2014 BU. 

These '22 1/4 Brits came this week courtesy of @TavexBullion, to continue my date run (from 2020🤣)
Next is probably '22 1/10s to go with my '21s, and some more '22 Sovs in some guise. 
Plus the Yale small denomination Au and Ag.

This is really bad….these turned up an I forgot I ordered them….a crying shame this is likely to be the last time we see QEII on a Tudor Beast coin. 
 
The microdot fields are sublime, I like these more than the proof coins, especially the reverse frosting effect of the obverse.  
 

Had my piedfort delivered today. Beautiful coin. Originally I was going to skip this one but it got the better of me last week and I bought one directly from the mint. Turned out to be a great decision. Also had a half sovereign delivered from Atkinson's today that I was waiting for the price to drop on but with the death of the queen I felt the impulse to pick it up that day and keep for my granddaughter.

Anne ‘Pre Union’ Vigo 1703 Sixpence, first bust left with VIGO** below, rev. Plain angles with four strings in harp S.3590 there is a scratch through hair and some hay marking* but nevertheless, it looks a nice example for the collection- practically EF? 
 
* hay marking- entirely normal black streaky flecks in the metal, sometimes called "haymarks," caused by the alloyed silver containing tin, which came in part from Midlands and Welsh mines.
** VIGO- hallmarked to designate it was made from silver captured from the Spanish at Vigo Bay (with which it was mixed, with silver from homeland mines as stated above)

My Tudor beast's 2 coin set turned up, and the same as @Orpster marks on the queen's neck, plus 3 white spots on the coin. So far that's all 2 coins and set I've received with the Yale of Beaufort gone back. 

A coin for the pension/retirement fund.  Hopefully will be a hold its value in years to come
