2012 UK Diamond Jubilee 7-Coin Silver Proof Set Although considerably lesser known than the 2012 gold silhouette 10-coin set (mintage of 1296, not the widely believed 2012), this "plain" silver proof version is actually considerably rarer, with a released mintage of just 475. This makes it the third rarest silver proof collection ever released by the Royal Mint, behind only the 2014 (368) and 2016 (383). So I bought two, both at sub £100, and believe the price will only go one way from here. Collectors of silver UK 50p coins have been a little slow on the uptake regarding the rarer definitives, although prices of £100+ are now being realised for some. 2012 also saw the issue of the fourth silver BU one pound coin, released in "Baby", "18th Birthday" and "21st Birthday" editions. This is the one coin I still need to finish a complete collection of 113 UK silver "round" pound coins. Please let me know if you have one.

Piggybank reacted to Kookaburracollector in Kookaburra Inventory - Does anyone have a complete list?
On the 1oz privy front, I can probably help…as I spent a happy year or two collecting them. I never found a definitive list of all of them, either on the Perth Mint website or anywhere else…and I did look…really hard!
I do also have a few of the F15 privy 1oz kooks, although not the last two years…I refuse to pay £100+ for one oz of silver! I also never went for the coloured varieties or the lunar. There are also the gilded kooks to consider.
I
The table below is what I consider to be a pretty complete list of all the 1oz privy kooks, most of which I will have an example of. It’s on an excel spreadsheet, so doesn’t import onto the forum easily. Here goes my best shot :-

"Renniks Australian Coin and Banknote Values" also lists a good host of Kook privies, incl mintages, issue prices and retail values (in A$).
31st edition (2021) is supposed to be available now.

Received today, another for the Cabinet, this time an 1845 Victoria Crown. Quite obviously cleaned at some point but nevertheless, some nice detail can be seen, the Cinquefoil stops and the Wyon inscription 😃
A couple of gaps made ready in the Cabinet tray for nice examples of an 1821 George IV Secundo and the 1893 Victoria when funds permit.
You can start to see which Rabbit hole I have gone down here 🙄

Great condition and any wee marks appear to be just on the caps. These 2020 & 2021 Pandas were courtesy of @Fadeingstar, a super seller and a pleasure to deal with 👍🏻

Piggybank reacted to dicker in Silver Selling
Hi All
I purchased a *stunning* collection of Kooks (as well as a collection of Sovereigns) from @Lucylucy for a price that was I believe fair to both of us, and of course done in an entirely gentlemanly way. I purchased to build the collection (to completeness) and keep it going (as you may have seen on another thread). The quality and depth of the collection was enough to break my new rule of not buying more silver!
In my collecting early days I bought coins from ebay and other non TSF sources (a long time ago now) that I was genuinely disappointed with, so it really has been a pleasure buying from @Lucylucy who was kind enough to invite me to see coins at his home.
Those of you who I have bought from will notice that I don't ever haggle on price - I pay the asking price if I think it is fair, which is why I think the forum is the best place to buy and sell, but there are limits to what forum members will pay for larger collections of well priced silver - so I think don't be harsh in judging by selling on ebay if it doesn't sell on the forum. One caveat to this is that if left long enough, I think listings do sell eventually but it takes time (I have approached sellers about items on very old listings and have found them still available).
Not everything that is sold between members is necessarily advertised on the forum (although I think this is not so common). The forum (from my experience) fosters trusted relationships where members occasionally reach out because of known interests with items for sale. This is something that I have not ever seen on any other platform, and whilst is not an obvious selling point, has worked very well for me, and I suspect others.
